About this property
Meadow House at Powder Mill Pond - a nature lover's paradise
Experience the wild beauty and serenity of New Hampshire’s rural Monadnock region combined with the luxury of a newly built, architect-designed, net zero house.
Located on the Hancock shores of Powder Mill Pond -- famous for its miles of kayaking routes and abundant fishing -- the 30-acre grounds are alive in all seasons with migratory birds, birds of prey, and local wildlife. Kayak from the private dock, stroll the acreage, or explore the rail trail that passes just steps from the house down our quiet dirt road. Hiking trails abound in all directions.
An ideal getaway spot that feels removed from it all yet lies at the heart of the very best the Monadnock region has to offer.
3 miles to the picturesque village center of Hancock, home of the historic Hancock Inn, a wonderful country market, café, library, antique shop, and town beach.
5 miles to the renowned Harris Center for Conservation. Hiking trails, educational talks and a lovely visitor center right here in Hancock. We are delighted to partner with the Harris Center in their bird conservation efforts. Currently, the property houses a Harris Center kestrel nesting box.
7 miles to the vibrant town of Peterborough, home of the Peterborough Players and an abundance of restaurants and shops.
6 miles to Crotched Mountain ski hill and golf course.
18 miles to Mount Monadnock, the jewel in the crown of the Monadnock region.
33 miles to Manchester, NH, airport and a 1.5-hour drive to Boston.
Amenities include Wifi, Dishwasher, Laundry, Ping Pong Table, Games and Puzzles, Satellite TV,
Private Dock with Kayaks, Grill.
