Highly recomended. We had a great stay in a beautiful cottage and just the right size for my wife and I. Very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with all of the amenities we could need. Pleasant communication with our hosts Renee and Per with detailed instructions and to make sure all was well during our stay, which it was. Thank You Scott and Karen
Overall our stay was very nice. The little cottage was in the perfect neighborhood, central to most things we wanted to do! Great restaurants in the area. Adorable cottage decorated very nicely.

I like that this property was super quiet and was a freestanding house. I also liked having parking right next to it. I have stayed at several places in San Diego all visiting my daughter, and this one was probably the best! I would definitely stay here again.
Remodeled cottage with every amenity I needed. Having a full kitchen with coffeemaker and toaster allowed us to have breakfast each morning. Very quiet neighborhood despite the proximity to a freeway. I would recommend and definitely stay again.
The place is always perfectly clean and the house is located in a quiet neighborhood..
There are nice neighbors and the owner is just a phone call away.
I appreciate the designated parking spot so I didn’t have to constantly search for one on the street.👍
The check in process was a breeze. The directions the host sent us included the check in process, the WiFi password, and instructions on what was included with the rental. The location is very quiet, even though there are major highways nearby. The access to the highways was something that attracted us to the property, because we knew we would make several day trips from there. The neighborhood, Normal Heights, has an eclectic mix of restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops. A supermarket is within a mile. The washer/dryer came in handy, and the kitchen is more than adequate for two people. Communication with the owner was superb. We stayed for 11 nights, and wish we could have stayed longer. We would definitely try to book this cottage again if we visit San Diego again.
We had a very nice stay. While the cottage is within 10 minutes of just about all SD attractions, it’s a fun neighborhood with many bars and restaurants within walking distance. Try the Rabbit Hole for beer. Cafe 21 for fantastic breakfast.
Worried about safety? Don’t. We left an iPhone on that little outside table overnight. Still there in the morning. Don’t recommend doing that, but do recommend this comfortable cottage.
We stayed at this property, for the second time, this Christmas. We were so happy it was available. It was just as nice-if not nicer, somehow-than our first stay. The little house had everything we needed to be comfortable and the neighborhood was as quiet and pleasant as we remembered it being. We couldn't get the furnace to work when we arrived but Renee had the maintenance man there in less than 20 minutes. He needed to light the pilot light. I was so impressed with Renee's speedy response but not surprised. We have found that Renee and Jan are attentive hosts who communicate well. We will definitely keep our fingers crossed that the little Normal Heights house is available again when family holidays bring us to San Diego.
We stayed at this little for a week at Christmas. It is is such a find for us. It is the perfect size, so comfortable, quiet neighborhood (even though the freeway looks close on the map, it is far below the property level so not an issue), very clean with simple, charming decor, kitchen amenities, nice little "quick walk" park across the street. Everything we needed. And it was ALL ours! Renee was very helpful (by phone) on our arrival helping me with the lock box (we had never used one before). It's in a convenient location for our usual San Diego destinations. We certainly hope it will be available again when the next family get together brings us south. We feel lucky to have found it. Our thanks to Renee, the wonderful host who has provided this little gem to the VRBO world.
Excellent value and very comfortable place in Normal Heights. Host was experienced and added a lot of little touches to the space. We were a little warm in the bedroom during the San Diego heat wave, but our overall stay was pleasant. Thank you!
Excellent property for the two of us for a week in San Diego.

My husband and I stayed at this cute cottage for four nights. We enjoyed the cleanliness and amenities in the kitchen. Being able to make coffee and breakfast for ourselves was very convenient. We were also able to charge our Prius overnight with the outlet at the back. After taking out the trash on the last day, we were not able to find new trash bags to line the trash cans though. Perhaps the cleaning person will take care of that afterwards.
