Spacious northwoods getaway in the Powderhorn Mountain village minutes ski hills

Come and enjoy all the Upper Peninsula has to offer this summer and fall or winter!! Minutes from waterfalls, Lake Superior, Blackjack Ski Resort, Whitecap Mountain, Snow River Mountain Resort, and of course Powderhorn Mountain. The colors in the fall are AMAZING as well as the nearby waterfalls. There are a whole stretch of them on your way to Lake Superior. Great views of the ski resort Big Powderhorn Mountain. Close to town with lots of amenities! Situated in the Powderhorn village, step inside to a lovely home and enjoy its amenities. Spacious kitchen with a large dining table big enough for 10, 5 bedrooms for 15 people, and enough bathrooms for added privacy. Outside you will be surrounded by woods and will find a gorgeous view of the ski hill. Enjoy some quiet time on the deck and end your evening with some relaxing time in the sauna.

Ski Weekend

Good property with a great location relative to Big Powderhorn mountain. We enjoyed our stay. Wish there would have been shampoo and soap for the showers and that the sauna would have been a little more clean, but other than that our stay was great. 4 Stars.

Tuckaway

The Tuckaway house is a great place for a family getaway. We were close to Big Powderhorn and could easily drive over for skiing. Also, cross country skiing was nearby. The house was quiet and the New Year's Eve fireworks were easy to view from the back deck.

Summertime Northwoods getaway

Clean, spacious, quiet. Enough room for everyone. Surrounded by nature, but easy access to Black River Road/Lake Road for access to Lake Superior, or US 2 for a short drive to Ironwood and Bessemer. Highly recommended.

Great scenery and amenities. Did not realize there was no air conditioning. Little smaller than expected but overall everything was great. Fully stocked kitchen with plenty of sleeping.

Short weekend

We were up for a short weekend to visit with family. The house worked well for our needs (lots of flexibility with rooms and bathrooms and a main floor room with no stairs needed for in-laws). We like to cook breakfast and were happy the pans were in good condition (not scratched up like a lot of places). Would have been nice to have a couple kitchen linens (dish towel, oven mitts) but I might have missed them, especially since we didn't want to use the oven when it was so hot out. If our stay was longer I would have asked about it. The owners seemed very responsive so I am sure it would have been solved. Would stay here again.

This property is situated in the Powderhorn Village with easy and quick access to Powderhorn Mountain and a short drive to Blackjack Mountain, Whitecap Mountain, and Snowriver Mountian. It is also within 15 minutes to Lake Superior with 7 wateralls on the way there to enjoy at your leisure. The area is filled with outdoor activities for all seasons!
