About this property
Quaint Pond Retreat for 2 • Clean • Cozy • Private • Near Traverse City!
Hello! This space is best suited for 2 guests. A sofa bed/air mattress is available upon request, but additional guests must be approved and are subject to a $30 per person, per night fee.”We live upstairs in the chalet and your unit is downstairs, attached, but has its own private entrance and rooms. The setting is convenient to the village but sits in peaceful surroundings with plenty of tall trees, a pond and cozy backyard with flowers. Across the street is beautiful all-sport Fife Lake! Bring your boat for summer (or snowmobile trailer for winter) - there is a second driveway to park them. Access to the backyard small grill and firepit for s'mores. : ) Dine at one of our three locations in the village for your convenience. (See my guidebook). My place is 30 minutes from Traverse City, 45 minutes from popular peninsulas and attractions, and 20 minutes from Cadillac. So much to do in the summer with all the wineries, sightseeing and shopping in Traverse City! The beautiful and popular North Country Trail is only a mile away from the house. In the winter, go snowmobiling then join the gang at a popular snowmobile restaurant/stop - The Upper Bar with parking for your snowmobiles, relax inside by their fireplace and a drink and meal. The Fife Lake Inn has plenty of parking and outside dining in the summer or snowmobile access in the winter, too. Your space downstairs is a large bedroom with a small living area and sofa, full bathroom with tub/shower combination, and a small kitchenette/laundry area (no sink in the kitchenette). In the kitchenette, there is a microwave, small toaster/broiler oven, and a small fridge with freezer. Coffee pot and coffee provided w/cream and sugar cannisters. Relax at the dining table while looking out at the birds or sit at the pond in the morning with your coffee. Enjoy walks along Fife Lake, too or the North Country Trail! The village provides an ice cream place and swimming at the Fife Lake Village park. People gather and socialize out on the sandbar during the weekends. Plenty of closet space. Wifi, TV, w/Netflix, Amazon, Roku, and Fire TV Stick. Iron and ironing board, hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner & use of Washer and Dryer in the room, too. Two kayaks and two-person Paddle Boat available. Guests must transport these on their own and our responsible for having lifejackets on the kayaks and paddle boat. I will provide lifejackets.

About the host
Hosted by Tonya

I love hosting and meeting people! I have been hosting over a year now. This is a picture of me on my kayak on Fife Lake. : ) You can have use of the kayaks, (with a signed waiver), and must be able to transport the kayaks either in the back of the trunk of your car or truck bed. My place is my idea of "heaven on earth". I hope you enjoy your stay and can get away from it all.
