We visited with a group of 7, including a 6 month old infant and 2 dogs. The property is clean and perfectly furnished for a week’s visit. The fact that we did not need to pack high chairs/cribs and most essentials for an infant was amazing, as it’s already there. The view was spectacular, and our host Sam was spot on with any questions that arose. If you wish to visit the Iron River/Sunset Lake area, there is no reason to look any farther than this home….. Perfect 10/10

We stayed a week here and there was plenty of room for 8 adults and three dogs! We enjoyed making pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven and cooked breakfast every day. Heads up though, the hill from the lake up to the house is no joke. Be aware if you have anyone with health issues. We brought our pontoon and enjoyed the lake. The neighborhood was friendly, got lots of waves from neighbors both on and off the lake. Wi-fi worked great and getting in the house was easy! We had visits from hummingbirds every day. The host was easy to communicate with prior to the stay!

Very clean, enough bedrooms and beds to fit everyone comfortably and a very easy and quick checkout. We stayed here specifically to ski at ski rule, everything was great, would love to see it sometime in the summer.

Great time at Sunset Shores

We stayed here with friends and their children to ski and celebrate the New Year. The property is beautiful and comfortable, the owner was great to communicate with, cozy woodburning fireplace to gather round. Perfect get away property!

Beautiful views, beautiful home, easy access to property, all the comforts of home. Loved watching all the birds and chipmunks that frequented us every day. Wonderful stay!

The home looks over beautiful Sunset Lake. You cannot beat the views from the deck. A perfect place to have your morning coffee. Plenty of room for our family. The owner was quick to respond to all our questions. We were in town for a funeral, but will definitely stay here again under better circumstances.

We spent a wonderful week at this property on beautiful Sunset Lake for our family get-together. The home easily and comfortably accommodates ten adults. The kitchen is fully equipped for meal preparation and the dining area is spacious for gathering at mealtime. The fireplace pato is a great outdoor seating area , especially on a cool evening.We give our host, Sam, a top 10 rating for his immediate response to our questions. We highly recommend this home!

Very well equipped home. Kitchen has everything you could need. If you plan on bringing a boat be aware that the dock is set up differently than the listing photo. The dock now has a private boat hoist and a boat on the left, stairs on the right, a floating raft (which my kids enjoyed) to the right of the dock making docking a boat or anchoring very tricky. The paddle board and kayaks were also a nice feature.

No snow

Even with no snow, Brule was open for skiing and the cross country skiers found plenty to do with hiking to waterfalls. Owners were very responsive to a minor issue.

Great cottage

This is ann excellent property. Very comfortable and well equipped. We have another cottage on Sunset Lake and rented Sam's cottage because of a large family gathering. The 4 bathrooms are a big plus with a large group. Sam was very responsive to our questions. We also had a trailer at the property for additional bedrooms. All in all, a great experience and we'll certainly rent it again if we need the extra spae.
