The former winery is located near Spitz on the Danube, in the "Wachau" World Heritage Site. The farm is located directly on the Danube Cycle Path, on the edge of an idyllic village, surrounded by vineyards and apricot gardens. The main house has 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 small living room and a covered veranda with dining area. In the well-equipped kitchen there is another dining table for 8 people. Opposite the main house in the annex there is a fully equipped loft apartment with its own bathroom and small kitchen, with dining area for 2 people. All bedrooms are equipped with satellite TV and WiFi. The entire property has been lovingly renovated, antiques restored and the old ship floors reworked. All beds were equipped with high quality mattresses. To improve your comfort, sleep on high-quality bed linen that is sustainably produced in Austria.
It was very important to us to maintain the beautiful atmosphere and charm of the old building, with its idyllic courtyard and outbuildings. The box windows, some of which are over a hundred years old, were also renovated and repaired.
Via the outside stairs of the veranda, you reach the idyllic inner courtyard, which cannot be seen from the outside.
There is another covered, spacious dining area (former coach house) for at least 10 people in the courtyard.
A former brick barn with foundations from the Middle Ages can be used on request for larger events, approx. 30 people (seminars, family reunions, wine tasting, etc.). A separate kitchen is available for catering. We would be happy to give you recommendations.
The historic courtyard fountain from the Middle Ages was uncovered in the course of the renovation. An "outdoor" shower and a barbecue area should make your vacation with us in
Enrich "Resterhof".
The Danube Cycle Path leads directly past the "Resterhof", pristine Danube beaches are within walking distance. The next "rolling ferry" to the other bank of the Danube is in Spitz, about two kilometers away. The stop of the romantic "Wachaubahn" can be reached in three minutes on foot, as well as the bus stop "Schwallenbach".
