With a plush king bed and matching bunks, our wagon is perfect for couple retreats, family adventures, girl’s weekends, or just a few days away. Our Wagon is nestled in the gorgeous Santa Monica Mountains with expansive mountain views and grand oak trees. Just next door sits Prospector Ranch complete with an authentic saloon and horses. Enjoy our endless trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding! The 101 freeway, beaches & wineries are all only minutes away!

Conestoga Covered Wagon can sleep up to 4! We have a shared beautiful indoor/outdoor Luxury shower/bath. The surrounding 10-acre property has plenty of hiking trails for your enjoyment. A fire pit and outdoor seating area are perfect for picnics, barbeques, and music!

Wagon overnight

Fun stay in a unique property.Host was very communicative and we felt well cared for. Beds were comfortable and (thankfully) the ac worked well on a hot night. Bathroom was shared , but also well kept.

Quiet getaway

Had a lovely time. Nice and quiet. Amenties all functioned as described. Beautiful grounds. Host was very helpful and friendly. I would come back just for the shower!

Absolutely beautiful ranch nice and close to the city

The covered wagon was beautiful, loved the fire pit. Great to be welcomed by Meggan and Chris with a drink after our day at Universal studios. Our girls loved feeding the horses, and using the bath house. Wonderful spot for stargazing and relaxing. One of the highlight stays on our California road trip. Also they took in our delayed baggage from our flight with no problems at all. Nice recommendations from Chris too!

Don't pass up this experience

I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into when adding this to my families spring break roadtrip, but this ended up being one of our most unique stops. The stagecoach is just awesome, unbelievably comfortable and fun. The bathhouse is five star, and the drive through the Santa Monica foothills is awesome. Meggan is a great host, accommodating, and really fun to talk with. My recommendation: Before arriving, pick up dinner, and eat in the Saloon! We ordered take out from Nobu in Malibu :) Don't pass up this experience. Thank you Meggan,

A totally charming stay with just lovely natural attention to detail. Clean, quiet and everything you need (just add a pool and never leave :) Great to know its there for another booking. Love the saloon and bathroom. Next time we'd like rent it all out and host a dinner party. Host was amazing.

I am from a farm in Iowa but have been in the Los Angeles area for many years. I yearned to be in the country again so when I met my husband moved to the ranch. My career was in entertainment/ distribution but decided to start a business here and named it Prospector Ranch. I started with the rentals and now have 4 on the ranch! I also do boutique events, (wedding, Bday Parties, bridal showers) filming and photo shoots. I love greeting the guest and helping them with all the fun things there are to do in our area!

Why they chose this property

We are in the Santa Monica Mountains with amazing views, great hiking, horseback riding and biking but still close to the beaches and Malibu and Westlake Village. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere with endless stars, peace, quiet BUT really only about 8 minutes from town!

What makes this property unique

What makes our property unique is guests have the opportunity to use our event space which includes a saloon to hang out. We also have 2 small ponies and 1 mischievous mule, 2 sweet goats, 2 dogs and so many cats!
