Family log home nestled in the woods just minutes from trails.

Our Log home in the woods!

The home is located east of Birchwood in the woods but with in walking distance of the dock on Big Chetac with your own access to the lake.

The home is nestled in a beautiful wooded lot. The view is of sunrises from the screen porch while enjoying your morning coffee!! Quiet and peaceful describe the location. We have added air conditioning for the hot summer days.

The lower level is a walk out to your own fire pit with an endless supply of wood right there in the wood shed.

The home has walking trails or winter snow shoeing on approximately 40 acres. There are several trails, one leading to the creek where you have a couple of benches to sit and take in Mother Nature. The woods are full
of wild life. (Turkeys, deer , fox , eagles etc.)

Loved our weekend up north! Perfect location with access to the water across the street. Loved the screened in porch and the fire pit in the back. Linda was great and was quick to respond to any questions.

Extended Family Trip to the Woods...

We had a small family reunion that took place at a Lake about 20 minutes from Linda's rental. I needed something close for us to stay at for a long weekend with my family and my brother's family. It was a perfect location and the property is beautiful. Linda is a wonderful host. Highly recommend.

The cabin was the perfect place to getaway and enjoy the lake. The cabin was big and meet the groups needs. The fire pit was ready to burn for us when we got there. I would love to stay here again! Recommend this place for everyone. The Host Linda was the best host I've ever met.

Wonderful host, beautiful property

Linda qas a wonderful host and very communicative throughout the entire process. Check-in was smooth and easy, despite some last-minute issues we were advised of shortly before arriving. The property itself is expansive and beautiful, although I was disappointed to learn that it was not directed attached to the dock seen in the pictures (this is mentioned in the description, I simply missed it when booking). The kitchen has fairly new appliances and worked wonderfully. Bathrooms were clean and plenty well stocked. At no point during our stay did we find ourselves saying "I wish there was x". This was a perfectly place for a larger group to stay for the weekend.

Winter Wonderland

We had such a wonderful weekend. We needed a place to stay last minute for the Birkie, and the owner was very accommodating when we asked to adjust our booking due to the snow storm. The cabin is so nice and clean! We loved sitting downstairs by the fireplace and enjoying nature’s beauty. I’m sure it’s even better in the summer with that screened in porch and walk out. Would love to go back!

Lumberjack World Championship Log Cabin Win

Six old friends headed to Wisconsin for the Lumberjack World Championship because...why not? It was a great competition and a perfect VRBO to come home to. The "cabin" was terrific for our group. Super clean, plenty of bathrooms (!), lake access, large place to gather in the kitchen and family room, not to mention the screened in porch with a view of the forest. John and Linda were very friendly and accessible. Definitely a five star experience!

A Rare Gem Truly 5 Stars

I mean, this should be 5 stars. For the price it would be very difficult if not impossible to find better. Great host, who felt more like family than a host, thank you Linda! The home felt comfortable and homey, which is hard to find. The screened in upper deck overlooking the woods will be missed. I had a group of 6 kids from 8 to 20 and we all had a great time, including me being 50. We visitited the creek several times and the lake many times. We had our own dock, which is a little walk, but worth it! Lifelong memories were made and bonds are closer, I miss it already...thank you for the adventure!

Perfect getaway cabin

The home is very clean and had everything we needed. Fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of space for multiple people/couples. Kids commented that the internet was good. Large screened in porch was lovely. It is located near a dead end and not close to much. We enjoyed this location, but would do some grocery shopping on our way in next time since there’s nothing super close. No air conditioning, but that wasn’t an issue for us as the weather cooperated. The first night was pretty hot outside, but house was surprisingly not bad. Fans are provided which also helps.

If you're into boating and fishing this property also comes with a private dock that is located on the lake side, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds! Lake action during the day and woods in the evening.
