About this property

Almost Heaven , Affordable Oceanfront, End Unit, Dog Friendly, 2 bed/1 bath.

When you inquire or request to book please include the breed, age and size of each dog. We accept 1 large dog or 2 small dogs. While we love cats we do not accept them as guests. We can not confirm a reservation without this information.

We would love to have you visit with us at The Waves.

If you are one of our many returning guests your space may look a little different! We have changed the colors again and lightened the feel with some new creamy furniture. In 2018 we also converted the tub area to a shower only and installed a new travertine tile floor. If you're a NEW guest - COME ON and join in the fun.

We are a cozy 9 unit low rise nestled between private homes with comfortably appointed living areas. Our oceanfront balcony has two table and chair sets to allow outdoor dining with unobstructed views. Large ground floor deck with tables, chaise lounges, and outdoor shower is steps away from our wide sandy beach. Enjoy a short stroll to the Cherry Grove Pier for food and drink, or fishing and sightseeing. This is our personal getaway and we are delighted to have you visit with us. Traveling with friends or need a different space? We have access to other units.

Our units are comfortable and well maintained. We try to incorporate some improvement each year to make your time with us more enjoyable. We have a galley kitchen with stove and microwave. In addition to the standard living room air/heat system we have installed electric baseboard as a supplemental heat for our winter guests. We have added the baseboard to our Master bedroom as well. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glassware and utensils. Linens for the kitchen as well as bath and bed are provided.

There is a washer and dryer on premises that is free to our guests. Local activities include Swimming, Pier and Surf Fishing, Beach Strolling, Shell Collecting, Casino Boats, Live Theater, Musical Performances, Outlet Shopping, Water Parks, Cinema, and Golf, just to name a few. There's something for everyone!

Our common area balconies are gated between units so that our guests with pets may enjoy them while they are outdoors. Our building sits closer to the ocean than surrounding structures thereby providing an unobstructed view of the beach in both directions. Our spacious deck has a variety of chairs, lounges and tables for you convenience as well as showers for a quick rinse of man and beast.

I've stayed at Carolyn's other property on the first floor. This was my first time on the second floor with two bedrooms. All the neigjbors were wonderful I like this neighborhood alot. Great place.

Relaxing

Completely enjoyed our stay. Access to the beach was quick and easy with no streets to cross. The condo was clean and we had everything we needed for the two of us. We hope to return.

Favorite place to stay in North Myrtle!

This is our second year staying at the Waves and we can’t wait to return! The area is very chill and has a great and calm atmosphere. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck and getting to know our neighbors. The place is definitely for dog lovers! The beach front access is wonderful! Each day we woke up and would roll out of bed right onto the beach! Thank you for the lovely stay!

We had a wonderful week together with our 2adukt children and 2 doggies. The unit was spotless and very comfortable. The kitchen was small but good enough and gave me a good excuse not to make big meals. I can’t wait to go back.

Perfect for us!

We have stayed at The Waves before and loved it, same this time. We loved our accommodations! Has all the comforts of home and LOVED that we can bring our dog!! The bed was super comfy and the condo is decorated so beautifully and beachy! The location - perfect. Great internet and TV and the Kerig was a big bonus too! We'll be back in the fall and we're already looking forward to it. Thank you for sharing with us. It's a real gem!

We just got home from a wonderful stay at The Waves. This was our second visit, but the first time staying in the two bedroom. The location is PERFECT. Pet friendly, Cherry Grove, and on the beach is a tall order. We love this area because it is quiet and nostalgic. The condo is in great condition, comfortable beds, very clean, and well laid out. View from the balcony was beautiful. We had everything we needed, and even a few things I forgot to pack -- I was thrilled to find a collapsible water bowl to borrow for when our little shelties went on long walks with me! I can't say enough good things - we will definitely return, I wish I had booked a longer stay.

Beach Trip June 2023

There were a total of 3 people (2 adults and 1 teenager) along with 1 dog. Loved being close to the beach with quick access to the room when needed. Parking was not an issue. Other animals were not an issue. The layout was great. The balcony seating was great. The beach access was great. Not very crowded at all when compared next to the Cherry Grove pier. The location was great as there was not much traffic, people, or vehicles. The balcony was open across all rooms, just blocked off with gates between the rooms. This was only an issue when multiple animals were outside. Otherwise not that big of a deal. Really loved having an extra towel for drying the dog off. This was our first time taking a dog to the beach and this place made it a success. I would highly recommend this Unit for anyone with or without a dog. The property manager was very easy to work with and quick to respond. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Good Condo for Dog Owners:

I have stayed here twice, and I like the location with the beach view, and the acceptance of dogs in the condo. (Most of the people staying in this condo have dogs) Overall, this is the reason that I have stayed here twice: #1: The view of the beach and ocean from the living room is good. #2: This condo in general is accepting of dogs. #3: There are 2 separate bedrooms; each with their own bed. The unit is on the second floor, so there is not too much noise like you would get on the ground units. Some improvement recommendations for the owner: #1: I would recommend that the owner plan some periodic renovations to keep the condo modern. (I believe it is an HOA condo, so there may be red tape on what renovations can be done. But, I would recommend that the kitchen cabinets and toilet be updated, and the interior should be re-painted every 4-5 years with a nautical colored theme such as "sea foam") #2: The 3rd party maid service that the owner is using should be making sure that they are cleaning the following: master bedroom wall air conditioning filter, bathroom shower sliding door guides, and under the furniture in the living room. Overall, I would stay here again; as it is hard to find a dog friendly condo for 2 dogs, or for dogs over 35 pounds.

A great time l!

We had the best time staying at yhe host property! We enjoyed the ocean view and walk down to the ocean! We rate this very high especially for pet owners. The kitchen is well stocked. We had a great trip and look forward to coming back!

Great Vacation

We really enjoyed our visit in this home. It had every thing we needed and extras. Thanks for the extras!!! We didn't have to run out on the first night to supply anything. Just right for the two of us and our grandson. Only suggestion would be a rope at the top of the dune to pull yourself up the tall dune!!! LOL. It was a climb~

Clean, comfortable, dog-friendly ❤️

This is a nice, clean, comfortable, 2-BR condo with a great view and easy access to the ocean. It's perfectly suitable to bring your dog with a tile floor throughout. The balcony is very spacious, has plenty of comfortable furniture, and is semi-private; there are 3 units on each floor. Their balconies are separated mostly by concrete walls but with metal gates towards the ocean side. I suppose if there were large, aggressive dogs in adjoining units it might be an issue but we had no problem between our medium-size older dog and other dogs there. This unit is on the second floor, one floor up from the ground. The LR furniture is extremely comfortable! The beds are extremely comfortable! The whole wall on the ocean side is windows so you have a great view from anywhere in the LR. The TVs and wifi work great! The kitchen & bathroom are small but I don't go to the beach to cook & take luxurious baths lol! There are plenty of pillows & blankets. The info book is probably the best I've ever seen in a rental property. Everything you need to know about the property and the area are there. We will not hesitate to return.

Disappointed

Upon entering the unit it smelled of stale cigarettes- had to go out and grab plug in air fresheners to make it manageable. All the dishes were in cabinets but all were dirty- had to be rewashed before using. The bathroom floor was covered in sand. Beautiful ocean view but near impossible to get to the ocean. Small path steep to walk up covered in burs. We had to drive down to another beach entrance in order to walk on the beach. The unit itself is pet friendly however there is no place to take your dogs to potty without them screaming from burs in their paws. Thankfully my two go on command and will go on the pavement. Overall an okay visit but will not be staying at this location again.
