About the host
Hosted by Kristine Komar
I was born and raised in Seattle and first visited the Bitterroot Valley in 1979 when a girlfriend invited me to go home with her for the County Fair. I fell in love with this landscape and knew I would one day live here. After many more visits, I moved to Hamilton in 1999. Withy Gate was my first home and I loved being able to walk out in the morning and see the mountains or walk to the river or for a cup of coffee with friends. I now live about a mile away in Grantsdale where I am restoring a 1890-1930's farmhouse and outbuildings. I enjoy sharing Withy Gate and the Bitterroot with my guests and look forward to helping connect you to the best of the Bitterroot.
Why they chose this property
Withy Gate was my first home in Hamilton and when I purchased a slightly larger place I found I just could not part with it and so decided to convert my lovely duplex into a vacation rental so that others could enjoy it, too.
What makes this property unique
From Withy Gate, it’s an easy walk to Main Street, Hamilton where you'll find restaurants, a great bookstore, banks, shopping, and the post office. There's a history museum and several neighborhood churches. A local grocery store—with espresso stand—is just two blocks away. The private front yard, with patio furniture, umbrella and gas grill is perfect for outdoor summer living. It’s a short walk to the Bitterroot River and River Park where there is an extensive trail system. Completely updated and super clean, this cozy space is ready for you, your home away from home.
