Unique Rustic and Renovated Barn in the Woods

Enjoy gorgeous views of the Bitterroot Mountains from this barn in the woods. Starry skies at night and plenty of wildlife in the day, this little slice of wooded Montana is the perfect place to relax. Listen to birds, take a walk, watch the stars, enjoy a fire or grill on the Traeger. Both the upstairs and downstairs make two full living spaces with their own sleeping arrangements, full bathrooms and full kitchens. Only 25 minutes from town or 10 minutes from multiple trail heads, you're sure to enjoy your stay, we have internet connection and also really good reception. Recently we have added a huge outdoor deck and a seven person hot tub. If you want serenity or creek fishing, you will have private creek access. This barn has a cute studio apartment with a converted barn loft. The barn loft has a complete kitchen, movie popcorn maker, pool table, games and more including a giant projector screen. Sit outside by the fire or enjoy pool and a big screen movie upstairs.. There are many opportunities to see wildlife like birds, deer, bears and other critters. If you're really outdoorsy, the river is just down the road. But if you want unique adventures, there's plenty to see and do within an hour a drive. Find out why we love our little spot on the mountain. Please note, we do have a rooster who can be noisy. Four wheel drive is highly recommended in the winter months. Great Views and Friendly People

We really enjoyed our short stay! Place was very clean and the bed was very comfortable! We had some things come up and had to shorten our stay and the host was so kind and allowed us to do so. We would stay here again!

Great Family getaway!

Great place

Our family loved the hot tub overlooking the beautiful mountains. A midnight view of the stars was absolutely amazing. Host was quick to reply and super easy to communicate with. Wished for more bedrooms but we knew this when we rented. A wonderful Montana experience.

Beautiful and peaceful

This place was amazing, the property owners was absolutely wonderful people. My fiance and I planned on getting married while visiting family in Hamilton, and we were excited to hear that Pauline the owner officiated are wedding in the upstairs of the barn We definitely made some new friends and will make arrangements in the future to stay in this beautiful barn again. We rented the place for my son’s 15th birthday party weekend and it was absolutely perfect!!! The games were all really fun and the kids got a lot of use out of the pool table. Can’t wait to rent it again. 😀😀😀 thank you!!!

Nice quiet place

It is at the end of a winding road to the property. A nice quiet place. Really enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evening, listening to the silence. Pauline was really friendly and helpful, recommending places to go. The upstairs game room is really nice, although we did not spend much time up there, what with being seniors. The only downside to me, easily rectified, is the kitchen utensil availability is a bit austere. I’d stay there again.

Close enough but far enough

Sooo adorable! It’s up in the woods so you feel disconnected but not so far you can’t get into town for a bite or the store. All the games were so fun to have and the porch is primo. The apartment and upstairs game room are separate areas, which actually worked out really well for our party of two adult couples. The owner was super friendly, helpful and available. And we loved the chickens!! We want to canoe back:)

Pauline the manager is very nice. We appreciated the warm welcome. We were very happy with our stay. My husband and I came up for a 4/day stay just to get away. It’s very beautiful. I was a little surprised by the way the barns set up. If I was the owners I would consider maybe closing off the barn/ shop from guests. Just making access for guests from downstairs room to upstairs game room. Also putting up something for privacy for people in the hot tub. Other than that we absolutely loved it!

You can really tell these hosts care about their property and their guests experience! It was beautiful and so much fun. Plenty of space for a family of 5 and 2 dogs. Along with plenty of space to have a few friends over.

This place is so charming! We had such a wonderful time! We are going back to have our wedding. The barn is such a beautiful venue, it’s exactly what we are looking for to have our wedding day. The beautiful views and privacy this place has to offer is perfect! The host was so helpful and attentive, they took the time to answer all my questions. If you are looking to unplug but not give up modern amenities this is the place for you! Just far enough off of the beaten track but close to everything that the Bitterroot Valley has to offer. We will definitely visit again.

Very nice place in the woods, exactly what we wanted--to escape and unplug for a week to get some reading done. The layout and amenities are exactly as advertised. The only reasons I didn't give 5 stars are:1. It would be nice to have a dining table at ground level. Instead we had to eat at the kitchen counter on high chairs, which was a little weird.2. The bedroom is on the level below the main hangout/game room. Because of the dog we wanted to sleep in that main room, where there are only pullout couches (which were comfortable, but pulling out and putting back the beds was slightly annoying). I can see that if you had a big group, the bedroom being on a different level might be a plus.

So Peaceful

Relaxed perfection

This property was everything we had hoped for and the fact that Pauline was always available when I reached out was a welcomed bonus! The owners house was on the property but even when we were out on the deck and the owners/family left their property not once did they look at the barn; we still felt like we had the privacy we deserved. There was so much to do inside and the drive to the barn was gorgeous.

When we bought our house, I told my husband that I wanted it to be in the woods on the west side of the Bitterroot Valley. I need my mountains and the woods. I can't wait to share it with you. The mountain views and sunsets are epic. It truly is a place to enjoy the outdoors without having to go camping. Think glamping elevated...

What makes this property unique

This remodeled barn has a huge game room where every detail is hand made. You can see the love in every details. You won't find a unique getaway like this one anywhere else. There's so much to do just in the barn, but also within driving distance. It's perfect for family gatherings or a couple who just wants to hang out and enjoy nature.
