Little slice of paradise

This is our second time staying with Bernard and his partner. Once again such an amazing experience. From the word go Bernard treats you with such care that it truly feels like a personally tailored vacation just for you. We will be back again and again. Can’t recommend this rental enough!

Winter escape

Our stay was perfect from beginning to end. Bernard is an excellent host, very considerate, informative and a great baker. The space was immaculate, bed very comfortable and all the amenities were there for our use. The outdoor space was a dream come true. We can’t wait to visit again!

Super Nice & Property Owner Was Awesome

We enjoyed our stay and the property owner was awesome and responsive to any questions. I appreciated that the property owner ordered my favorite coffee for my mornings. The suite was nice plus the pool was great after a long day of shopping. If I’m ever in Florida again I will stay here again.

Lovely oasis

This place was like a little piece of paradise! The grounds and the house were beautiful, very clean. You had every thing you could need or want. Between the muffins and banana bread it was hard to leave.

I am originally from Montreal, Canada but I have been in the US for a good portion of my adult life. I have recently retired and I have launched a vacation rental suite in my lovely home in Fort Lauderdale. I maintain a healthy lifestyle through outdoor activities, including working around the house, and physical fitness. My partner also lives with me and we are quite gregarious and enjoy meeting new people and we look forward to seeing you in our vacation rental suite really soon.

Why they chose this property

The recently renovated 330 sqf. (31 sqm.) suite is centrally located in the middle of a quiet residential neighborhood, and yet we are walking distance (< 1 mile) to well known shops, super markets, pharmacies, restaurants and cafes. Central Fort Lauderdale beach is ~2.5 miles from the our location and can easily be accessed by car, UBER/LYFT and/or bicycle within minutes. Our neighborhood is 7 miles from Fort Lauderdale Airport or the Cruise Terminal if you decide to extend your vacation after a cruise, making Bernie's Hideaway the perfect location for your next getaway.

What makes this property unique

The uniquely appointed 330 sqf (31 sqm.) suite includes 2 rooms and a full bathroom, allowing 2 adults to share, and yet have the ability to read, rest, and/or simultenously watch their respective shows (Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, HBO MAX & Apple TV+), particularly on cloudy days. The suite overlooks a serene lush garden and pool, with the soothing sound of water throughout the day. If you are planning to drive a car, there is ample parking in front of the suite.
