About the host
Hosted by Lisa or Tim
We live on the property and with many years in the hospitality profession we can make your stay with us in Wilton Manors / Fort Lauderdale memorable. Or if you prefer, we can stay completely out of your way and respect your privacy. It's your visit, and our goal is to make it special.
We are happy to recommend local beaches, bars, restaurants, shopping areas, or more distant day trips both tame and adventurous. We are 35+ year residents of south Florida and we are just as comfortable poolside as we are fishing local waters or hiking in the Everglades, so we are able to recommend activities to fit any preference. It’s also possible to spend your entire time on the property without going anywhere else and have a great, relaxing south Florida tropical experience!
You will have our phone numbers for call or text. We live on property so we will be able to help as much or as little as needed throughout your stay. Most of the time we are available to personally greet you upon your arrival and are happy to do so, however this is not required and keypad self check-in is available if you prefer.

Why they chose this property
Quiet residential neighborhood surrounded by parks and lots of activities, home to both young professionals and retirees from all over the country as well as people visiting on vacation. The streets are often busy with friendly people walking their dogs, jogging or biking.
Although the neighborhood itself is quiet, we are just a few blocks from the vibrant nightlife and daytime shopping of Wilton Drive; less than 15 minutes to the shops and restaurants of Ft. Lauderdale Beach, downtown Ft. Lauderdale and Las Olas Blvd; and less than 30 minutes from other great beaches such as Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Dania Beach, and the Hollywood “Broadwalk.” Being within a couple miles of I-95 means we are an easy day trip to the Palm Beaches to the north (40 miles) and Miami / Miami Beach to the south (35 miles).
We are 10 minutes (3 miles) from DRV PNK Stadium (home of Inter Miami FC) and just 10 miles from the Port Everglades cruise ship port.
Two state parks and numerous regional parks are within 15 miles, and the entrances to Everglades National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve are less than 70 miles away.
Mickel Park is two blocks away and open to the public during the day. This beautifully landscaped park features outside workout stations, a running/ walking path, a sand-volley ball court and covered pavilions. Several nights a year the city hosts outdoor musical concerts under the main pavilion. There is also a public EV charging station.
Don Eisele park, located on the middle river (one of the bodies of water that makes Wilton Manors the “island city”) is within walking distance and features park benches within a canopy of shade trees and a dock that provides views of the middle river. There is also a canoe / kayak launch. This park is also open sunrise to sunset.
Within a mile or two is a Publix grocery store, Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks, Aroma Joe's, 24-hour 7-11, liquor store, CVS and Walmart drug stores, and many other stores, restaurants and bars.

What makes this property unique
The large, beautifully landscaped and fully fenced private yard is a very special outdoor space. The decoratively lit outdoor shower with hot and cold water and attached dressing area is perfect for rinsing off or even taking a full shower after a day around the heated pool or an evening in the hot tub (of course, there is also a full shower/tub inside your studio.) The tiki hut with its bar seating, TV, stereo, BBQ grill, and sink, combined with the tiki torches and large umbrellas set out around the yard, and the multiple other seating areas, combine to make this a truly tropical Little "Peace" of Paradise! And for chillier evenings, there's a large fire pit.
