About this property

Cozy chalet on Wintergreen Mountain

On a private, wooded lot, this chalet home is perfectly located in the year-round Wintergreen Resort. We’re less than a mile to the main ski lodge, restaurants, and market. In the winter months you can enjoy a view of the mountain ranges as you relax by the wood stove in the two-story great room. During warmer seasons enjoy a hike on the nearby hiking trails, a swim in the resort pool, or a picnic on the large front deck. New AC window unit in living room in July 2022.

The space
The house features solid hickory wood floors, new kitchen appliances, a custom concrete countertop, 50" flat screen smart tv, and wireless internet.

Sheets, towels, utilities and firewood are provided free of charge. Dogs may be allowed by prior agreement only; extra fees and deposits may be required.

UPPER FLOOR: There is a private bedroom with a queen-size bed and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower in the enclosed loft area. This room features a vaulted ceiling and beautiful views.

MAIN LEVEL: There are 2 private bedrooms and 1 full bathroom (with shower/tub) on the main level. One bedroom features a queen bed. The other has two twin beds.

Guest access
Guests have seasonal access to two resort outdoor pools and tennis a short drive away from the house (one on the mountain, one in the valley). If golf is your sport, you can enjoy a round of golf, which is located about a 15 minute drive away in the Stony Creek neighborhood part of Wintergreen. Lots of nearby hiking, including a trail right from White Oak Drive; the Appalachian Trail is a very short drive, as are many hikes along the Blue Ridge Parkway, just a few minutes away. Great breweries, food, wineries, a cidery, distillery, all within a half hour.

Other things to note

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, ice, some foggy days, and some occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The mountain roads can be icy and could be dangerous in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and/or ice during these months. This means 4-wheel drive/AWD, good tires, and/or chains. We cannot give refunds due to weather.

We went to Wintergreen really not knowing the area just for a golf weekend and had a great time. The cabin was awesome and in a great location on the mountain. The whole area is amazing and we will definitely go back.

Relaxing week with the family

We all had such a nice time. It was a perfect location on the mountain. Close to hiking, swimming, playground and numerous creeks for the kids to play in.The cabin had all the comforts of home and was so very clean. We would definitely reserve here again!

My family stayed to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. The location was great. The house the perfect. We had a full house. Plenty of room in the living room for movie night and birthday celebration. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The only suggestion I would say is if you do have a full house, bring extra towels. We had 1 per person and not everyone had wash cloths. It was great bringing our dogs, nice areas for walking. Lots of places nearby that allow pets. I would definitely stay again. Thanks for a wonderful stay Alex.

A Wonderful Escape

We had a wonderful weekend stay at this cozy cottage. The location was perfect—peaceful yet close to everything we needed. We had a fabulous visit. The house was perfect... cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with our morning coffee. Wouldn't change a thing. This property was exactly what we have signed up for. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac, with beautiful view of the mountains, it offered us a week of relaxation and decompressing from our busy life. Cozy mountain getaway

This mountain chalet is an ideal accommodation for a family or group of friends who like to hike the Blue Ridge Mountains as well as be close to breweries, wineries, and the slopes. The property managers provided everything to make our family comfortable and to ensure a wonderful experience. We will definitely rent this “cozy” property again in the future.
