Easy and convenient access to many adventures. The home's floorplan is perfect for couples traveling together. Very clean with all of the comforts of home and well stocked kitchen. We didn't use the fireplaces but having wood available is an extra plus.We had a great stay. Just wish it was a bit further away from noise of traffic down below. Still a great place to stay:)

Issue with multiple visits by bears. Very nice and responsive hosts. Great location. Helpful amenities 5 miles away. Comfortable and spacious (albeit not truly luxurious) home. We had a problem with bears visiting multiple times. This could have been avoided had the owner installed a metal bear-proof receptacle. They knew of this issue and didn’t fix it before our arrival. Had not had an issue with the bears, would consider staying again.

You were not supposed to put your trash inside the container you provided a photo of. You should know that because I told you that in writing, multiple times, as well as over the phone when we spoke. There are bears in this photo because you pried this container open (which was nailed shut) and shoved your trash (which contained food) inside the container and left it there for almost 10 days. By providing this photo and review, you’ve actually furnished evidence that you completely disregarded our house rules. We gave you clear instructions to keep your trash in the utility room on the side of the house (which is where the trash company retrieves it from). If you would have followed simple instructions then this would have never been an issue… which is why no other guest, out of 100s of guests, have ever had this issue. This is like you lighting our house on fire and then complaining that it smells like smoke. You created the problem and then were surprised by the very obvious consequences of your actions. I can see in your vrbo reviews that you have a pattern of not following instructions. Please respect the homes you stay in moving forward by acknowledging the simple rules that are provided to ensure a smooth, safe, and enjoyable visit.

Our entire stay from start to finish was great. The house was stocked with everything you could possible need. It has 3 floors, and all three were white socks clean. Firewood was fully stocked on the front porch. The circular drive made entry and exit from the house quick and easy (no turning around to exit). The pool table was fun and all the TV's made watching the Masters a breeze. Our host Brooke, was easy to contact both prior to and during our stay, and quickly responded to any question or request. A very enjoyable stay that was conveniently located.

The house is welcoming and comfy from the first steps of the front porch. The furniture and decor is wonderful. The beds are dreamy. All too of line bedding, sheets and towels. My family and I quickly left the city stress behind. The kitchen is a dream and the back porch fire place and TV nice touch.

Well Appointed Home & Great Property Manager

We had a great stay and especially enjoyed the outdoor deck, fireplace, and views. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed. Beds were very comfy. The property owner was so helpful, communicative, and thoughtful regarding our stay. We would love to rent again!

Sweet Hickory is a sweet spot

We enjoyed a long fall weekend with our family at Sweet Hickory. Everyone had plenty of room and the outdoor deck with fireplace was an awesome spot to spend time together. The property is easy to get to and had plenty of parking space. The host was very communicative.

The home was top notch in every way. First class finishes and furnishings, lots of room for the 8 of us, lot of tv's, pool table, ping pong table, great out door spaces, etc. I would highly recommend this property
