We had a fantastic weekend stay at Randall’s house in the desert. It was so peaceful, quiet, and comfortable. The hosts have thought of everything with nice personal touches apparent inside and outside the house. It’s well located for local hiking and going into Pioneertown for concerts. We highly recommend staying here.

A weekend with the meteors

The house is super cute and comfy, Randall met us when we got there and showed us around, even gave us some banana bread. We watched the meteor shower from the backyard, and used the house as our home base for our Joshua tree adventure. We loved it and could have stayed a couple days longer to just enjoy the backyard!

Can't wait to come back!

What a beautiful house! Cleanliness of everything from the landscaping to each room was meticulous. Very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Very thoughtful and hospitable and the house was furnished with everything we would have needed. The banana bread was delicious too, thank you! The only thing we didn't like was that we were only staying one night! Definitely will be planning another trip.

Fantastic home, fantastic location!

Randall met us when we checked in and he couldn't have been nicer. In addition to the awesome banana bread that he baked for us, he spent several minutes making us feel comfortable, showing us where everything is located etc. Everything was so nicely organized and clean. Gazing at the stars in the hot tub at night was out of this world. We would absolutely stay there again. BTW: The home is less than 5 minutes from Pioneertown.

Desert Oasis

We really enjoyed getting out of the city and relaxing in Randall’s beautiful house. The furniture and decor are beautiful and comfortable. There are artistic elements everywhere you look inside the home and gorgeous views out of every window. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed to make a meal. Randall showed us great hospitality and we felt very welcome in the home. If we’re ever out here again, especially for a concert at Pappy & Harriet’s, my first choice would be to return to this lovely home.

puppy pick up

Spent the weekend prior to picking up our lab puppy..Larry! beautiful house and landscaping very relaxing. Close to pioneer town and giant rock cafe. Everything was absolutely perfect to perfection. Randall was so awesome and so was their fresh homemade banana bread. What a tasty surprise! Beds super comfy, hot tub "hot" and relaxing. Really really enjoyed every minute at the Bohemian Rhapsody. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. Ron & Chris and the new addition Larry.

Wow! They thought of everything

Great place close to Pioneertown. Randall thought of everything. The house is well appointed with everything needed to cook and plenty of linens, towels etc. these guys did a great job decorating inside and out. The backyard has multiple areas to sit and enjoy the views or outside dining. One really nice touch I wanted to point out is that stores and restaurants are aways from Pioneertown, knowing this they had enough food to be able to eat in the case you show up later. We will be back!

Beautiful Get Away

We had a lovely time at the Pioneertown Bohemian Getaway. The home is comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing stay -- comfortable, clean bedrooms and bathroom; fully-equipped kitchen; relaxing living spaces inside and out. The outdoor space is wonderful for enjoying the beautiful surroundings . . . Highly recommend hot tub at sunset. The home is not too close to other people, but close enough to easily access Pappy & Harriets, Joshua Tree and close by hiking trails. The hosts were wonderful, leaving special touches for a warm welcome -- fresh baked banana bread, fresh eggs and a snack tray. We loved it here and hope to come back the next time we come out to Joshua Tree.

Best Trip Ever

We absolutely lovedddd staying at Randall’s beautiful home! It was in a perfect location, close to Pappy and Harriet’s and Joshua Tree, but secluded from other properties so you could really explore the land. Randall made everything so inviting from the fresh banana bread to a thorough check in process. :) The house was so lovey! Covered in rainbows, the entire house was cozy and beautiful and had a very zen boho vibe that we loved. The best part was sitting in the jacuzzi watching the stars and seeing the illuminated Joshua trees. We had the best time ever staying here and would 100% book again! Thanks Randall!!

Pioneertown Perfection!

We had an amazing stay at Randy’s Bohemian Getaway! From booking to check-in to departure, hands-down a seamless, smooth process. Randy provided excellent communication, easy directions and met us upon arrival to give us a walk through and show us around the house and property - and we were greeted with a loaf of his famous snd delicious banana bread! And did I mention the fresh eggs from his chickens?! The house is perfect, bright, artistic and thoughtfully outfitted with everything you could need during your stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, one of the best sleeps I have had! The property is beautiful, so serene and quietand incredible stargazing at night. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and feeding peanuts to the scrub jays during our stay. If you are in Pioneertown for a show at Pappy & Harriiets, its just a short 3 miles down the road - so close and easy! We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return again!

A perfect quiet getaway in Pioneertown / Yucca Valley.

Craving a getaway from LA, my family and I stayed at this lovely spot not too far from Pioneertown. Randy and Reid were extremely gracious hosts while also respecting our desire for quiet and privacy. Our daughter, in particular, loved the colorful and charming decor. We stayed for three nights during the Thanksgiving holidays and could have easily stayed there for additional nights. Everything was well-maintained, and we loved the sanctuary of the backyard, esp for the hot tub and stargazing. We hope one day that safety and fire conditions will allow for a fire pit, the one thing that would have made the back area perfect for us! If you're looking to get away from the noise and be a short distance from Joshua Tree NP (about 30m drive), look here!

My first trip to Pioneertown

The property was very well prepared for us. The owners live nearby and were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I felt like I would enjoy getting to know them. It's apparent that they take great pride in their property and enjoy sharing it. Pioneertown was a pleasant surprise. I would stay again.

I am retired from doing payroll in the film industry. I first bought the property and had both homes built in 1999. I love everything the area has to offer. Spring and fall brings perfect temperatures. Winter can bring a dusting of snow and summer is all about the night sky.The 20 acre property has 2 homes. I live in the main house with my spouse and collies. We use our guest house for short term rentals, family and friends. The houses are 300 feet from each other and we have landscaped for privacy. We continually work to make improvements. Oct 2022 brings a private 4 person Hot Tub!

Why they chose this property

We are close to everything the area offers. Being on one of the only 2 paved roads, you will not need a 4x4 truck to negotiate any dirt roads to get here. We offer, grand views, dark starry night skies, privacy, and a comfortable colorful house.
