Lake front with amazing private dock. At boat house you may find: life vests, 2 fishing poles, 2 kayaks, fridge, floaters.
The house has 2 outdoor sitting areas, water views, a game room - its an older house with a cozy feel. Located in a hidden cove in the middle of the lake with unspoilt, deep water mixed the the harmonious sounds of nature.
Marina its only 5 mins away and downtown Roxboro & VIR only 15 min, this secluded getaway is close to everything you may need.
Parking at the house in the driveway. You will need car or boat to get around the town.
Pets are NOT allowed.

Great getaway

This was the perfect spot for our family. Although many of the kitchen appliances and other amenities are outdated, everything worked great. It was a quiet area of the lake and the dock and kayaks were nice. The boathouse had plenty of noodles and life jackets. The host was flexible and accommodating despite a little check-in issue that was quickly resolved.

My husband was looking forward to the pool table. It is warped and sits higher in the middle so the shots are not clean. I would have liked a TV upstairs. Minor issues.

Stay was to short!

First impression was to notch. Location was breathtaking. House was very clean (wife says it was one of the clematis houses we've stayed). Kitchen and the rooms were well- stocked with all necessities. The morning sunrise on the balcony was amazing. We were only there for a few days to attend our daughter's wedding at the Virginia International Raceway (only 14 minute drive!). We would've loved to stay longer to actually enjoy the lake but we were too busy in all the wedding preparations. Only detractors from the house were the little details as a result of the upgrades made (some doors didn't latch, some doorknobs not installed correctly, shower was lukewarm at best, pool rack hung on the wall was not secure, remote for upstairs bedrooms controlled BOTH fans simultaneously(kinda funny), etc.). We fixed what we could but unable to fix all. Again the stay was short and those few issues were not enough for is to dispel the overall great impression we had from this house. We definitely recommend the Beaver Dam house. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful lakeside home... albiet only for a short stay.

Disappointed

Very responsive when checking in however pictures online do not portray the interior condition of house. Holes in wall, one actually kicked in. Laminate floor coming up in different places, beds need new mattress not comfortable. AC air filter filthy do not think it had been changed in over a year or more & dehumidifier hadn’t been emptied or filter cleaned. Sent message to owner along with pictures of air filter no response. We left a day early & sent a text to owner to let them know we were out & addressed the filter & conditions of house- no response! The exterior & dock were excellent great location. Just sad that owner wouldn’t address my complaints. No problem taking your money but won’t acknowledge condition of rental. Disappointing.
