About this property

Pet friendly Beach House with a Heated Pool.

During peak season, June 01 thru September 05, (7) night minimum stay is required, Saturday thru Saturday. Post season, minimum of (4) nights can be reserved for check in.

This amazingly maintained Beach Home, is going into its fourth season on the market as a vacation rental. Our home has a large living space with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a one half bathroom.

The home is located on the west end of Holden Beach, on a small dead end road, which is steps away from the beach. Enter our home up from the front steps and you will walk into the main Living, Dining, and Kitchen areas. Off the main living space is the Primary bedroom with a King bed and full bath; there is also a half bathroom and laundry room on same floor.

On the second floor are two bedrooms. First bedroom has a Bunk bed (for children only, under the weight of 40 pounds), and a Queen bed. The second bedroom has a Queen bed, both areas are split with a Jack and Jill full bathroom. Both bedrooms have doors to exit onto the upper deck.

The backyard has a putting green area and a 13x 26 pool, and an out door shower. We hope you and your family will enjoy our home as much as we do.

All property of the home, inside and out are inspected by the owner prior to guest arrival. The blue Adirondack chair in question has a broken left rest arm that is completely separated from the backrest. The grill is also inspected, reason our checkout instructions sent to all guest, reads, "if the grill is used, it must be cleaned including the drip tray located at the rear of the grill". The furniture in the home is less than four years old, and your opinion about the home, does not reflect the rest of the reviews from our guests. We as owners take pride and take care of our home so we can enjoy it as well, reason why we reach out to all of our guests prior to their arrival, to go over the home and the guest policy. Last, we allowed and accommodated you with your request for a golf cart on our property. Considering that, your opinion about the removal of the cart is untrue. We did not have to accommodate you, but we requested that the cart be removed prior to your departure, since it was delivered while the home was still occupied. After your departure, the cart was still there. I disagree with your review, and the Renters prior, and our return Renters, clearly would not agree with you.

We just got back from a week at Roy’s house and it was great! We’re very picky when it comes to cleanliness when renting a house and this one checked all the boxes. Roy’s communication was excellent and the house was as described. Beach access was super convenient. We loved the layout of the house and wouldn’t hesitate to rent again.

We had a great time at the house. The house all the essentials (maybe except shampoo / conditioner, but there's plenty of hand soap). Rooms are nice and cozy, linen is soft. Plenty of storage, and you don't even need to bring much as washer and dryer are right there (just bring the detergent).We cooked most of our meals, both at the kitchen and on the grill, very convenient.Private pool is such a luxury, both adults and kids had a great time there.The house is literally steps from the beach (close enough to go home from the beach to use the bathroom and come right back). You have to cross a road, but it's a slow road, mostly with golf carts bring people to and from the beach. This road also has a bike lane, which is amazing for biking, running, etc. There's a bike rental closer to the bridge.We were at the house first week of August, and got some rains, which was nice to cool down a little. Even without the rain, we had quite a few very warm and cloudy days, which was perfect for the beach - warm enough to stay in a wet swimsuit, and playing freely in the sand without hiding under a tent from the sun. Most of the days it was quite windy, and the waves were high - nice for splashing, but not really for a long calm swimming (like you would get in Tampa).The house is closer to the further end of the island, which is mostly residential, so you won't walk to a cafe or ice cream. There's plenty of cafe's closer to the bridge and right after the bridge. Highly recommend!

Great place, very short walk to beach

This place was great for our family of 4 adults, plus a one year old. The house was very clean and only a short walk to the beach, which was important with a one year old! Easy communication with owner and property manager, very good to work with for rental.

Great location!

The home is great with a nice big front porch and the new pool out back. It’s in an excellent location with the public beach access at the end of the street. Owner was very helpful and responsive. Definitely recommend as a place to stay in Holden Beach with close access to the beach and a private pool!

Perfect location!

Perfect location and east beach access!! The home was nicely appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the porch and having coffee each morning, rocking in the rocking chairs and saying hello to friendly neighbors. It was nice to be able to bring our dog and introduce him to the beach!! Would stay there again!!

Beautiful home

Very nice home. Really is just a very short walk to the beach, this is the first time we have stayed not right on the ocean. Roy was quick with any answers we needed!! Pool was nice for days you just wanted to relax away from the beach. Very enjoyable, relaxing stay.

Always enjoy!

This is our third year staying at Roy’s home. Every year we enjoy it just as much as the last. The home is clean, comfortable, and has amazing access to the beach. We also enjoy the pool and spend most afternoons swimming and playing. Roy is wonderful to communicate with and we cannot wait to stay next year!

Beach House

This was a wonderful beach vacation for my family! The location is perfect and having a pool for those days when the ocean was too rough for the little ones really saved us. Second year

This was the second year staying at this beach house and like last year, it was very clean and comfortable. Roy, the owner is always a pleasure to speak with and very prompt with responses. Last year the pool was not in yet, but this year it was a game changer. It took the home to another level. We absolutely love staying here with its very close proximity to the beach and cannot wait to stay again!

A Great Getaway

We decided on late notice to make a beach trip. Fearing everything would already be booked, we found this little gem. For our family of 5 it was a perfect fit. It will be even better next season when the pool is installed. Overall: this is a low-frills, non-waterfront property that is clean and comfortable. For a small family it will be a good house to use as a home-base, being able to come and go from the beach easily. The beach-access is very convenient, and even better has almost no stairs (there is a short drop from the end of the walk onto the sand), so is convenient for using the wagon to get stuff to/from the beach. The water pressure is good, and the internet worked well (common complaints with beach rentals). The kitchen is small but usable. There is a hot/cold shower outside that is great for washing off after visiting the beach. The beach itself is big enough that it doesn't feel too crowded and had enough space for us to build sandcastles, ride the waves, setup our canopy, and relax.

Stay in Holden!

Our time in Holden was amazing. The property was clean and convenient. However, we were not told that gas for the grill and putters and balls were not provided. Therefore we had to buy a cheap charcoal grill. No one can sleep on the top bunk because it is very unreliable, so we had to buy an air mattress for our smallest child. Roy sent us a 350 invoice claiming that we left sand in the washing machine, cracked the bunk ladder and for leaving the charcoal grill that we had to buy. We didn’t have the room to take it home. He could not provide me pictures of the claims of sand in the washer or a cracked bunk ladder. As I mentioned, no one even used top bunk. And sand in the washer in a beach house is inevitable even though we are super diligent about it. I also told him it would be nice if he left the grill for the next guests to enjoy since he doesn’t provide gas for his. Roy was very nice at first but I was completely taken aback when he dropped that invoice on us after our stay. I will not be paying him anymore money!

The house is exactly as advertised and communication with the owner was exceptional. When you open the house, it smells clean and every detail is handled for you, sheets, hand soap, dish soap, bath towels, etc. The access to the beach is nearby and was a great feature and reason for choosing it. All around, a great experience.
