Mermaid Lagoon! Beautiful waterway views, private pool, great family getaway!

Dog friendly with the convenience of a fenced yard, this newly renovated 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home is on a quiet street and only a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and steps to the intracoastal waterway. The inverted floor plan makes the most of the spectacular waterway views AND has a master bedroom with attached bathroom on each floor! We also offer a beautiful in-ground pool (14'x30'). Mermaid Lagoon sleeps 10, including a bunk bed and trundle bed, so you can comfortably accommodate the whole family. A Pack and Play in the downstairs closet. Amenities include: 2 children's scooters a few beach chairs, sand toys, and a beach cart to carry them. Enclosed outdoor shower and propane grill are ready for your use. Have lunch by the pool or relax in the many wonderful spaces on this property. After fishing on the pier and public dock (only steps away) , soak in the view from one of the large porches. Plenty of parking in the driveway and under the house.

Within easy walking distance is the ice cream shop, several restaurants, a fresh seafood market and fishing pier. Walk to the bandstand for weekly entertainment during the summer season.

Comfortable beds and a lot of little surprises that make it feel like home! Legos in the kids room, board games, books and a ton of pool floats/ beach accessories that were available for us to use was so helpful. The porch view seeing the waterway was perfect! Great property!

Really nice place. The communication once on the Island was exceptional, lots of helpful tips and support without getting into our vacation time. The place is a bit of a walk to the beach but imo the sunset view of the waterway plus the pool more than make up for that. We had 6 people staying there, plenty big enough for that AND we had family members (from another house) visit us on two evenings and there was plenty of social room, especially with the big front porch and also the pool area. We would stay here again!

Fantastic House

The Mermaid Lagoon had everything we needed for our stay. Loved the layout of the house, loved the pool, loved all the beach and pool toys. Had a memorable vacation for our whole family.

WONDERFUL place!

Recently stayed here for a girls weekend!! The place was very clean, short walk to the beach and the owners were very helpful with answering questions!! The pool was an added bonus!! Will definitely look to see if this place is available before booking our next trip!!

Great house

Holden Beach Vacation

Mermaid Lagoon was the perfect house for our vacation! We loved everything about it. The house has everything you need. The pool was amazing! Close to the beach. Loved rocking in the chairs and watching the intercoastal waterway. We loved our stay! The property manager was great as well! We had a great experience.

We loved this house! Quiet neighborhood and beautiful pool. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the boats go by on the inter coastal. The house was very stocked! We will be back!

Great week

This was our second time staying at Mermaid Lagoon we had a group of 5-6 adults. We find the house very well set up for our activities, beach, pool and paddle boarding. It is close enough to walk to the beach and close to water access to paddle in the intercostal. Everyone had options and the house was clean and well equipped. Look forward to coming back!

Another Great Year!!

This is our second stay at Mermaid Lagoon and we will be back. Great house, clean, very well stocked when we arrived so we didn't have to worry about paper products, hand soap, dish soap, etc when we arrived. One of our best vacations ever!

We have been to beaches all over the Eastern Seaboard on family vacations for more that 25 years. I will say that this was one of our FAVORITES! The location of the house is super. It is walking distance to anything you need. It is a great house an neighborhood. The house was exactly as described, clean and everything you needed was there. The grill was in great condition and the pool was perfect. You can not ask for a better place to go on vacation then the Mermaid Lagoon and Holden Beach! THANK YOU!

Excellent family vacation!

Our family had the most relaxing vacation at Mermaid Lagoon and would highly recommend this property. It was very clean, well-maintained and included everything a family could want - from linens to bicycles to beach chairs, plus a lot of extras that you don't find at most rental properties. Our family relaxed by the pool every day and cooked all meals at home. We played games, ride bikes and walked daily. (Our children are in their 20's and enjoyed the piece and quiet of Holden Beach). Would rent again from Dianna and Steve! The only thing we needed were bigger beds - we are all over 6 feet tall and had a hard time fitting 2 people in the beds.

Family Fun

Our family had the best time here swimming in the pool, shelling on the beach, surf boarding,and taking walks. The area on the island was wonderful, the neighborhood was quiet and the families around the home were so friendly. The home itself was beautiful, decorated so wonderful. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and more for grilling and cooking super and breakfast. The owners were so helpful in answering all of our questions so fast. We have stayed on the island for 11 years now and this was our first experience using VRBO, they have made it so personal, it was like staying with family. A bucket of goodies for our children, menus of the area restaurant, places to visit and activities we could take our children to do were all in a welcome book. Everything about the this home and the owners were more than our family had ever expected. Our oldest daughter is in love with mermaids so what was more perfect than to be able to stay here at "Mermaid Lagoon". Wonderful home and Wonderful owners.

Mermaid Lagoon never disappoints! This beautiful beach house has absolutely everything you need for the perfect Holden vacation! This is our 3rd time staying at this property and truly is a home away from home! The pool is the perfect touch for hot afternoons!! Location is great too, easy walk to the beach, restaurants, coffee shop and icecream! The whole process from reserving to check in/check out was seamless! We really enjoyed being able to bring our pups this trip too! Thanks for an awesome week!

Awesome Vacation!

The stary at Mermaid Lagoon was awesome. The property was as advertised and better. The house was very family friendly and provided everything we needed for our stay to be unforgettable. I can't forget the property manager, Linda. She was always communicating with us and was extremely helpful. A definite plus for the property. We loved our stay and the family is already talking about returning next year!

Title

The only problem we had was the code never worked in the door for access. When we arrived the cleanup crew was still there so we didn’t need the code. The first time we all left and locked up the front door would not open. Thankfully we had left a back door unlocked.

A Little piece of Heaven

Very clean, convenient to all activities, most pleasant manager / Hostess Absolutely amazing communication with property Owner / management. We made wonderful memories, spent much needed family time and met new friends and family while at Holden.
