In the heart of Old Seagrove, welcome to Special Purpose. This well-kept Japanese-inspired home is spacious and inviting with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and sleeps five comfortably.

The screened back porch is serene and looks out to the tranquil, shaded pool oasis. A truly unique space, you’ll spend hours out here on the comfortable lounge chairs. It's sure to be a hit with your family.

Inside, the stunning and spacious open living area is another unordinary space. The wonderful kitchen includes seating for 4, the dining table seats 6, and the living room has a twin chair pull-out and large TV.

Towards the back, are 2 primary bedrooms, kings, with TVs and private baths. Both have direct access to the back porch, which overlooks the pool. And with the beach only a 2-minute bike ride away, you’re sure to enjoy Special Purpose.

Almost perfect

We enjoy staying at Special Purpose with this being our 2nd time to rent this property. As noted in the title of this review it was "almost perfect"! The items that could have made it perfect were: 1. Find a different cleaner to clean the house. The odor from the cleaning solution used was overpowering when we entered. 2. A few simple instructions on how to unlock and lock the front door would be great. Keyless entries with not having to fuss with a key are good but if you haven't used it before you are flying blind! 3. The property manager was great and very responsive to our inquiries and requests. The biggest issue we encountered were the bikes that were to be used by the guests. We were told the property came with 2 bikes. Guess what there were 4 and only one operational, 2 w/almost flat tires and 1 with the crank sitting on the ground. Kind of a bust! The response we received was there are only 2 bikes at the property. Yep we can count! The property manager sent someone to repair the unusable bike with the repair lasting for one short ride to the beach. Had to call them again and finally it got fixed. 4. Maybe it's a function of Covid but the rental homes seem to be void of any essentials for cooking beyond pots and pans. No seasonings, foil, etc. Luckily, we finally found the coffee filters buried in a drawer. We do enjoy this property but a few, small items would go a long way to make it great!

Good spot

The location was great- everything was super clean and convenient. I loved the screened in porch that basically wrapped all the way around the house. It wasn’t the nicest place we have stayed but I would stay there again. Great price too

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent house for a family of 4 with your own private pool and set up. The house is beautiful, several screened in porches, bikes, TV options, and all the dishes you need. It’s a 2 min bike ride to the beach (San Juan). Use Santa Clara Beach for more parking options which is 1 block from San Juan Beach.
