I am glad you loved the location! It is so convenient to everything the area has to offer! This home is a vintage home, exactly as pictured in the listing. We realize that not everybody loves vintage and appreciates the local history! It is best described as quaint with modern upgrades!
Nice roomy old house in a great location in Lake Leelanau. Very clean and comfortable beds! This is a new owner so a few furnishings, kitchen supplies etc were just being set up. Upstairs bedrooms are simply furnished but comfortable (we came as only a married couple altho it sleeps 6).But the host was very helpful in supplying things missing. Great location to all the towns and lakes in the area! Sleeping Bear Dunes, hiking, kayaking, restaurants, wineries, ice cream, and more! We look forward to returning.
The house is over 100 years old according to the host, a fact that was not known at booking. The floors are not level and have multiple soft spots. The workmanship of the upgrades that has been done is poor. It has 3 bedrooms the master on on the first floor and two upstairs. The upstairs bedrooms have a two beds. There are no closets or dressers. The upstairs bathroom door does not close. Parking is on the grass in front of the house between a sidewalk and the street. I would not return

Upon booking, months prior to arrival, we always reach out to the renter to make sure that they are comfortable with this being a vintage home amd that it suits their groups need. If not, we give the renter the option to find something that does suit their needs. We also check in during the stay to make sure all is well, and provide our numbers incase there is anything anyone needs. We would have loved to help you but you never responded or reached out!
This home has so much charm, but we understand that vintage is not everyone's style! We hope that you find a property that better suits your groups needs.
Warm Greetings! We love Leelanau County. After an accidental "stumbling" on the area over a decade ago, our summer memories have been made on the shores of Lake Michigan in Leelanau County ever since. Discovering this special place is like stepping back in time. From the slower pace, to the breathtaking setting, family friendly beaches, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, and incredible local food and drinks. It has brought us much joy to bring our children here. Hosting your getaway or family vacation means more to us than just providing a place to rest. It is truly an experience that will bring your family back year after year.
