Cozy cottage with private pond. Close to the casino and the Bay.

On Belanger Pond is a super charming cottage in a storybook-like setting. The cottage is located north of Suttons Bay and sits right on a large pond. It sleeps 6 with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.

There is a bedroom on the main floor, and the upper bedroom is a loft area. There is a cozy living room off the kitchen and a large enclosed porch faces south over the pond. Mornings are beautiful sitting out here.

Make sure you bring your camera to this magical spot with gorgeous landscaping and a serene setting. Enjoy a fire in the provided fire pit. There is a charcoal grill for any outdoor cooking you might have planned.

This is a great location to enjoy all of the Leelanau County attractions. Stop at some of the wineries, Leelanau Sands Casino, the vintage Bay Theater, or one of the great local restaurants. The house is 20 miles from Traverse City.

Cozy House

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house had a cozy feel and nice cottage look to it, which is what we wanted in Northern Michigan. Unfortunately I woke up the first night to the sound of mice running in the house which felt very unsettling. We never saw any out during the daytime, but I was on edge the rest of our stay, and we ended up leaving a day early. It would be nice to be refunded for the night we didn’t stay, because I just wasn’t comfortable the rest of our trip due to being nervous about mice infestation.

Great place to venture out in all directions

Such a cute cabin! We wanted to explore several areas and this was perfect. Easy drive to Northport, Leland, Fishtown, Suttons Bay, and Traverse City.

Beautiful Cottage

My husband and I had a great time. The cottage is beautifully decorated with a great view of Bellanger Pond and a slight view of the Bay. Very convenient location, close to many wineries and downtown Suttons Bay. We loved having our morning coffee in the enclosed porch. It was very relaxing!

Late Summer Girls Trip

My mom, sisters and I booked this cottage for our annual girls trip. The cottage was SUPER cozy and in the perfect location for what we had planned. It was only a five minute drive to downtown Sutton’s Bay and a 10 minute drive in the other direction would get you to Northport! Plenty of great seating areas and spaces to cozy up. The porches (both inside and out) were lovely. We would definitely not hesitate to stay here again!

Pond Life!

Super cute little farm house on the pond. Close to Sutton's Bay and even closer to the casino, if that is your thing! We had a lovely stay, with the only glitch being that we were given the wrong code to get I to the keybox... Took about :30 minutes to get that straightened out but after that it was smooth sailing! Handy to everything that the Leelenau Peninsula has to offer... Would stay there again for sure!

Reviewer Comments: My husband had a major medical emergency come up and so I called the property managers number early Saturday morning and no one answered so I left a message. Check in was Thursday and we went to the hospital Friday and my husband was admitted . Then Saturday we were transferred to Butterworth hospital in Grand rapids. We stayed 1 night of our 3 nights. I never expected to have payment reversed but I did expect out of human decency to be called back . My husband had major surgery Sunday and finally came home today Wednesday. The place was fine but I would not recommend for the simple fact of lack of care and concern.

Cozy spot

Great location. We like to drive around to the surrounding areas, so this was the perfect spot for access to everything. The cottage is very cute and cozy. It was also dog friendly which is a big plus for us. Some hang ups though: the property manager makes you download another app to communicate with them and gain info about the property. I had a hard time finding the info to access the lock box on this other app, so I called the rental company, but I never heard back from them. Luckily, after playing around with the app for awhile, I found the correct info. When we first checked in, the cottage smelled very “mildewy.” It improved within a few days. This is obviously an issue as I saw moisture aides in some of the vents. Maybe because it is an old house in the winter? Fireplace does not work which wasn’t listed in the description. It snowed when we were up there, and we often had a hard time In the drive way because there was no snow removal.

Very cute historical stay

While we were there on a very hot weekend we were able to keep the house cool with the fans at night. Being from Western North Carolina my husband and I were able to adapt however, I would probably suggest that anyone with less of a heat tolerance be sure and check the weather for your stay! The property is adorable, private, and comfortable.

Serene little cottage

This was a lovely little stay. The cottage is charming and cozy. The pond out side is beautiful and serene. It is directly on a busy road as some reviews mention, but being this far out there's not much traffic at night.
