Prime Location! The Elk Cabin is steps away from the Cowlitz River Access and within walking distance to Downtown Packwood (fine breweries, coffee, and restaurants). From living room you have a view of both Mt. Rainier and the river. The White Pass Ski Area and some of the best hiking spots in the central cascades are all just minutes away!
Enjoy the Hot Tub, BBQ Grill on deck, WiFi, smart TV with Netflix, fun wood-burning stove, backyard fire pit, and the convenience of stacked washer and dryer. The highly efficient heat pump/AC provides both heating and cooling for year-round comfort. You will get a fantastic view of Mt. Rainier and the Cowlitz River on a clear day from the front yard and the Hot Tub. The bathroom is always stocked with extra towels, soap, and toilet paper. The kitchen is equipped with all cooking essentials: salt, cooking oil, plates, utensils, and cooking pots. The nearby grocery store provides everything else you need for a memorable vacation cookout. Notice this cabin does not have a dishwasher, and guests are expected to wash their dishes before departure. Getting around: 0.2 miles (2 min walk) to Cowlitz River bank - nearest access at the Cowlitz River Public Access Park at the end of street near Skate Creek Rd S bridge. 0.7 miles (15 min walk) to the lovely Packwood Downtown, with lots of dining options and the grocery store: Blanton's Market. 10 miles to Mt. Rainier National Park Southeast entrance. 12 miles to Silver Falls. 20 miles to White Pass Ski Area. 26 miles to Mt. Rainier National Park Nisqually entrance (open year-round).
Guest access Guests have full access to the entire house, hot tub, and fire pit in the backyard. On the day of your check-in, the owner will text or message your access code for the smart lock.
Other things to note The house has an external security camera facing the driveway. Guests will have complete privacy in the house, backyard, and around the hot tub area. Please restrict use of the grill or fire pit during the burn ban (check with WA Department of Ecology web) to prevent wildfire.

Elk Cabin was perfectly located for our hiking weekend. It had all the amenities we needed, was near to the trails we wanted to explore, and Will was great with all communication. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip.
Very well maintained and clean. We loved staying here. This cabin provided an excellent environment to relax and unwind. We will definitely return again!

This was a perfect place to stay - clean, comfortable, cozy, close to town and super cute. Bed was comfy, kitchen well stocked, lots of firewood for the wood stove. Great communication with the host. Can’t say enough positive. Loved this little place!

Stay was amazing. The master bedroom bed was extremely comfortable. Overall fealing of the cabin felt very "home like" sitting on the couch by the fireplace was the perfect way to unwind after a day exploring Mt Rainier. The location in packwood was perfect. Would definitely stay here again
