This is a fantastic apartment for a individual or couple to stay near the center of the city. Plenty of sites and restaurants right from the apartment or short walk. The host made it very easy to find and get into. I will miss the balcony/terrace and it truly is a classic view. Would not hesitant to reserve this apartment again next time im in Rome.
An absolute storybook couple's stay. We loved the apartment, the area, and the hospitality so much. Balcony area was exceptional, kitchen supplies were well-stocked, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Luca was great with communication and Michele did a great job orienting us with the place. Couldn't recommend more!
We loved our accommodations in Rome. The location is perfect, walkable to everything we wanted to see. There are many restaurants very close to the property, and all of them we experienced were excellent. Our host was incredibly helpful and very nice!
This place is amazing!! It’s exactly as shown in the photos and the location is perfect. Can’t say enough about it and how great Luca was as a host. Truly made our trip so special and would absolutely stay here again!! Highly, highly recommend!!!
Our host, Luca, could not have been more responsive and kind! He arranged transport from the airport for us, and rescued us after we checked out and realized we left something behind! The location was beautiful, Trestevere is a perfect neighborhood to stay in. The terrace, and the bank of windows looking out made the experience very special.
Excellent stay! Luca was so helpful with suggestions for restaurants and such. Even accommodated us with an early check in. He stayed in touch with us once our train was delayed until we made it to the location. House is charming and as pictured. Easy walking distance to shopping and the Pantheon. Only down side to the property was because it was very centrally located to many restaurants, at night it can be noisy until around 0030-0100. Even considering that, we would absolutely rent again and have already recommended this to other friends coming in the future.
Everything as described. The terrace is awesome. Lively neighborhood. Roma at its best.

Great Location & Value
My wife and I stayed in Luca's apartment for 5 nights in June 2014. (Apologies for the late review Luca). The apartment is small, but very comfortable and well appointed. Remember when in Rome...
The terrace is amazing - the ideal spot for aperitivos and late night drinks.
The area is fantastic. A great location from which to explore Rome - especially the Trastevere and Testaccio areas.

Amazing nest in the Trastevere overlooking Rome.
The view is just what it promises. The aptly named artist loft is both those, decorated with very unique, provocative pieces. Luca and Roberta were very helpful and responsive. The apartment is right in the center of 7 little restaurants and a little store/deli across the street. After the heat of the day subsides the terrace is a beautiful place to lounge, dine, take in the vista and listen to the sound of the birds and the restaurants below(and the bells). (PS the a/c worked well to provide an afternoon respite). First off there is the stairs, so we did feel after a day of walking and taking groceries(use Maps to locate the stores) up, that the apartment and terrace afforded more than most restaurants could, so that is where we stayed and loved our evenings. The location was perfect, coupling the residential Trastavere with the proximity of the city across the Tiber. We were able to walk everywhere, taking advantage of the suprisingly (at least in June) under-used water bus which left from the Trastevere side of the Isola Tiberina to meander along the river to St Peters. A one-day, hop-on-off bought the first afternoon actually allowed us a full day the next. Able to reach the Pantheon, Colliseum (buy ticket at Pantheon first) and St Peters first. Then Parthenon, Trevi fountains and Spanish steps the second. Hectic, but we only had three days and the apartment was the perfect base for our visit. We were never able to complete a purchase for museums via the Italian website and could not face another line(queue). Perhaps we could have with better planning, bought tickets at offices elsewhere. Definitely recommended.
This was a fantastic apartment! The terrace was such a treat and we spent time there everyday. Luca was a gracious host and so easy to get in touch with. The apartment was wonderful with everything we needed. We used the kitchen every morning to make breakfast and were pleased to have everything we needed. The location in Trastevere was a great area. We enjoyed the food, churches, shops in the area and easily got to all the other areas in Rome. Hope we can return.
Jolie petit appartement, agréable terrasse, commerces de proximité pour petits dejs et apero. Très bien situé, animé mais pas trop. Ce fut un très beau séjour.

Just wonderful
Incredible apartment with beautiful views and a lovely sun trap balcony. Everything you need on your doorstep, including a bakery and coffee shop, with all tourist sights easily walkable within 20mins. Luca and Roberta were easily contactable and more than happy to help if needed. Highly recommended, can't wait to come back!

Perfect ..
What an amazing find this little apartment was .. My wife and I (both 36)had been to Rome before and loved the trastevere area most. We decided to return and try renting instead of hotels. This flat is perfect, it's situated in a gorgeous street with superb breakfast bar just below the property along with two other bars and shops close by. Very clean with everything you need for your city break. The outside space is bliss to relax after a day of walking and eating with the friendly locals. My wife is 7 months pregnant so the stairs were a little tough but nothing she couldn't handle . We were both looked after superbly by Luca and Rosie and we would highly recommend them for your authentic Roman break... Can't wait to return. Thanks Luca & Rosie

The perfect place to make Rome your home!
Everything was accurate, clean and as we expected it. We enjoyed every minute and feel like we should come back soon. There are still a lot of small restaurants and bars to discover and a lot of sunsets over Trastevere to welcome with a glass of prosecco on the little terrace.

Very Positive Experience - Highly Recommended
My wife and I chose to rent an apartment in Rome for two reasons; 1) the value 2) to immerse ourselves in the city. Hotels are often in areas that cater to tourists (such as the Via Veneto area) whereas this apartment is located in the heart of vibrant active community. Though that doesn't mean it's missing any amenities.
We stayed at Luca's apartment on a first hand recommendation from friends. Unlike Air BnB, Luca's place is rented full time so you don't feel like you're intruding in someone else's place. We did not have the pleasure of meeting Luca in person, but did not need to. His assistant met us at the apartment (a little late which was awkward because the street is tiny and we had to stand there with our large bags dodging traffic) and got us checked in a oriented to the apartment. The apartment itself has everything a good home base needs; the tap water is delicious, nice assortment of plates and silverware, fridge was cold, air conditioning works, and most importantly it was clean.
General Notes/Tips
- It's at the top of 5 flights of tight stairs, if you're not in good shape it may be tough
- Yes the bathroom is small, but you're in Europe that just how it is
- The deck is amazing
- The two cafes downstairs are excellent
- Plenty of great restaurants in the immediate vicinity
- Convenient cab stand not too far away
- You need to pay in cash, for those needing to procure Euro's I found the most cost effective way to be the ATM at the airport. Bank's differ on fees but mine merely charged a $5 foreign ATM fee, which was much much cheaper than trying to exchange money at a kiosk
- Set up transportation to and from the airport through Luca, the 50 euro charge is comparable to a cab. (note - the driver may be different on the return trip)
- Bed is firm (two twins put together) which I found comfortable
- Street noise can be loud at night but it's a testament to the lively neighborhood
- Being in a foreign place can be intimidating at first, but I quickly became very comfortable navigating the neighborhood and found it safe
- The location itself is south of the main touristy attractions but we walked everywhere. It's about a 20-25 minute walk from the Colosseum, Pantheon, Piazza Novona, etc.
Overall: Highly recommended, would stay their again

Romantic stay in Rome
The apartment is really very beautiful and romantic and the terrace is absolutely wonderful - the perfect place to relax after a long walk through the streets iof Rome. Most of the intersting places in the city can be reached within 15-20 minutes walk. We especially enjoyed the Capitol with the great Museum, the Campo di Fiori and of course the Trastevere neighbourhood. We really can recommend this property!

characterful apartment excellent location
this apartment is in an excellent part of Trastevere - being a few minutes walk away from the crowded with tourists part of the area. Bit more natural and full of character.
The apartment itself is very spacious and also full of character. Perhaps the owner, "out of season" uses it as his studio?
Only improvement could have been a tea towel for drying up!
Also we were met right on time to be shown around, which is not always the case in Rome.
Thoroughly recommended.

Dear John,
thank you very much for your nice review!
I am sorry if the cleaning crew failed to leave a tea towel.
I wish you told me at the time. I would have provided you with one.
Thank you for your time and care.

Bright and Airy, comfortable, quiet in the evening
The apartment was exactly as described; the photos are accurate. The property was clean and had lots of light through the massive windows onto the deck.
The huge windows and balcony make this apartment very appealing. We spent most days out, the #8 tram stops nearby and ends at the Vittorio Emmanuel II monument (the wedding cake). From there you can walk most of ancient Roma easily. It was difficult finding the apartment initially, though that is often true in a new environment.
The apartment is well furnished. There is enough surface space for camera, PC, laptop, charging, maps, etc. We had no need for the AC, but kept the door to the private patio partially open. In late May that's all that was necessary. The bed is firm, and that is how we like it! The bathroom is small, but this is Italy after all..
In the immediate vicinity of the apartment there is an early morning coffee shop (locals mostly), a small restaurant with outside seating, and two trattorias that open evenings (hidden behind garage style doors) that are quite good. It is quiet in this neighborhood evenings. We enjoyed coming back to the deck and relaxing outside after a day in the city before heading out for the evening. The small local coffee shop surprised me by placing my "to go" cappuccinos and croissants on a tray for my walk upstairs. The barista said, "just bring them back when you're done" in Italian (or something like that).
There is also a very popular trattoria on the main street that we wanted to visit, but never did. You can't miss it if you take the #8 tram in the evenings.
I would recommend Luca's apartment to friends visiting Rome.

View from the patio is wonderful
The patio was amazing. My husband and I could spend hours sipping wine, watching the light change over the tops of the ancient buildings all around us. There were birds everywhere, and a birds-eye view over Trastevere to boot.
The apartment was well equipped and in truly excellent location.
Two small downsides for us - the bed was very firm, and the bathroom was in need of modernization.
