The White Stone/Kilmarnock/Irvington area that resides in the River Realm of Virginia's Northern Neck is your off-the-beaten path paradise for watermen and landlubbers alike. As they say,..if you know, you know! Visitors to the area can enjoy first class golf-courses, sailing and boating, antiquing, local wineries and breweries, bird-watching and dining destinations featuring famous Rappahannock oysters in a relaxing and picturesque area.

A "pilothouse" is synonymous with the more familiar term "wheelhouse", which in nautical terms means the elevated deck with the best visibility where the crew commands the direction of the vessel. At The PilotHouse in White Stone, you and your favorite family members and friends can command your group's vacation enjoyment in comfort and style. The PilotHouse is a premium waterfront residence with panoramic views that can be enjoyed from every room in the house. Four private king-sized bed sleeping areas with water views will enable restful sleep when desired. One separate bedroom with four extra long twin beds is available for those single sleepers who enjoy a shared space.

The PilotHouse has plenty of shared laugh-and-play space too! A large salt water swimming pool and deck loungers will call out for you and your guests to come out and chill out (pool is open May through early October). Prepare your meals together in the large well-equipped gourmet kitchen. Set a fancy table for dining in the sunroom with floor to ceiling windows. Curl up in comfortable chairs or sofas to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon happy hour in the sunroom. Grab a rocking chair on the brick covered deck morning, noon, or night to enjoy each phase of the sun as well as the jet ski, kayak, and boater "traffic". Lounge in the screened porch area to read books, play games, or tell fish tales after a fun day on the Chesapeake Bay. Play horseshoes, cornhole, croquet in the expansive yard. Make s'mores by the firepit on the point and let the music of the creek connect you with nature like only a waterfront getaway can.

This was a perfect place for our extended family to get together for the holidays. So uncommon to find a house with four king beds for all the adults, as well as four twins in a room for the cousins to be together. We loved the giant sunroom with the wrap-around views of the water and the comfortable couches, as well as the generous seating arrangement in the living room by the TV. Great instructions in the house from the hosts on how to use the induction stove, the cupboards were labeled to help us find things, and we appreciated the little things like the Wi-Fi password not being a crazy mess of symbols and numbers so we could actually remember it as we typed it in! :) This house had everything we could have needed including some extra throw blankets and a variety of games. We're looking forward to coming back again!

This house had everything we could ask for and more. Coming off the golf course after 36 holes and cooling off in the pool was a great way to cap the day. House had plenty of room to spread out inside and out. Loved it so much we already re-booked for next year. The hosts were a pleasure to deal with and very responsive too.

Beautiful place! We loved our indoor time making dinners and playing games in the house, and we loved our outdoor time kayaking in the kayaks provided by the host and just sitting on the Adirondack chairs and enjoying the view. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect family getaway!

We didn’t want to leave! We had planned on exploring some nearby towns, going to Williamsburg, etc., but ended up just staying at the house because it has everything you could want. The interior is spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to gather together, but it also provides the right amount of privacy to find a quiet place to read. Add to that the outside with the pool, dock, and spectacular views, there is nothing lacking here. We will certainly plan to come back again!
