About this property
Charlevoix Home, stroll to Town and Beaches
Welcome to Charlevoix the Beautiful!
This private home, with a large yard, quaint porch, and private backyard patio is situated nicely near Lake Michigan, Round Lake and Lake Charlevoix. Within walking distance to downtown, in a family friendly quiet neighborhood, you'll find a peaceful place to relax and unwind. Its location is close to downtown Charlevoix, Castle Farms, Charlevoix city marina, Lake Michigan pier, the Draw Bridge, restaurants, and shops. Within a few blocks, you can enjoy beaches, the city boat launch, groceries, pharmacies, and the downtown amenities. Spend time with your coffee on the front porch or back patio and just relax. You are welcome to bring and park your camper or boat in the large driveway for your convenience. You'll love the new remodel from top to bottom with two full bathrooms and two bedrooms. The kitchen is well situated with a patio just outside the back door for overflow space. It is fully stocked with dishes, spices, ice cubes, pots and pans, baking pans, silverware, cups, wine glasses, corkscrew, garbage bags, dish soap, dish towels, Ziplock bags, foil, saran wrap, and much more.
Complimentary supplies like shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, paper towels, extra towels, beach towels and toilet paper are abundant. There is a washer and dryer in the home and laundry supplies are supplied as well. You defiantly won't have to make unwanted trips to the store for supplies!
The house is located twenty-five miles from Boyne Mountain Skybridge, (a must see!) and is fifty-five miles to the Mackinac Bridge/ Mackinaw City and a short ferry ride to Mackinac Island from there. It is fifty miles from Traverse City, twenty miles from Boyne City, and twelve miles to East Jordan. This home is a short distance to Mt. Mcsauba and the sand dunes of Lake Michigan, Ferry Beach, Depot Beach and Lake Michigan Beach and the downtown light house and pier.
Many ice cream and fudge shops along with dinning and shopping are just around the corner and down the hill and the locals favorite, Dairy grill, is one block away for a quick treat!

About the host
Hosted by Shelly Novotny
We are Jeff and Shelly Novotny. We have been married for over thirty years. Jeff is a Charlevoix native who grew up in the neighborhood and I moved here when we got married. Jeff owns a painting business in town and I am a retired teacher and current realtor. We have three grown, amazing children. Our daughters both live in Grand Rapids and our son lives in Traverse City with his family. We have a puppy named Nellie who is busy, cute, and happy. In our free time we enjoy the water, weather, sunsets, and friends. We live here year around and are involved in everything Charlevoix from boating, golf, cards with friends and much more. We enjoy hosting because we love seeing people fall in love with Charlevoix the way we did. We live close by and are happy to help before, during, and after your stay!
Why they chose this property
The property is located on the southeast side of Charlevoix close to Lake Charlevoix, walking distance to downtown, boat launch, beach, playgrounds, shopping center, post office, hardware store, pharmacies and Castle Farms, which are all easily accessible without traveling on busy Bridge Street. We choose this location because you can easily walk almost everywhere and to run errands, you can do it without any traffic. It is also very peaceful, full of nature, and quiet.
What makes this property unique
Our property is walking distance to town. It is in a quiet neighborhood. It has great neighbors and you can sit on the front porch and enjoy the huge yard. There are tons of birds to sit and watch and you can enjoy the grill and fire pit in a private backyard which nicely extends the living space of the house. There are two playgrounds across the street and delightful sidewalks for a nice stroll whenever you choose. A perfect destination is our Charlevoix famous Dairy Grill just a block away.
