About this property
Lovely Guest Cottage in an Historic Quiogue Barn
In the hamlet of Quiogue, town of Westhampton, you'll find this large, private one bedroom guest cottage. Renovated for comfort and luxury, it features a brand new bathroom with a large euro-style shower. Bright and airy, with ten opening windows. A private backyard (equipped with a propane barbecue) it's an ideal place to wake up to visiting deer and wild turkeys. It is an eleven minute drive to the day-pass accessible Hot Dog Beach.
Adjacent to one of the few remaining authentic Quiogue farmhouses, this barn was built from the remnants for the great hurricane of 1938. Recently renovated, it features a queen size bed in the bedroom, and a convertible queen sofa in the living room. A workstation with wireless printer overlooks an undeveloped glade of old-growth trees. Note that there is no access to the pool or gardens of the farmhouse.

Upon arrival, we were perplexed because all the windows of the house were slightly open allowing numerous spiders to build webs all through the apartment. In addition, the toilet seat was missing a bolt and the bathroom sink was clogged. The A/C filter was also filthy. We decided to fix these things ourselves instead of using the owner's suggested handy man so that we could sleep that night. After that the rest of our stay was just fine. We knew the owner was out of town so maybe his cleaning people didn't take care of things.
