Denia is a city on the east coast of Spain. It is located between Alicante and Valencia in the north of the Costa Blanca. Tourists appreciate the 20 km long sandy beach, which at the Las Rotas district merges into rock and stone coasts. The Montgó nature reserve, named after the local mountain of the same name, Denias, with a height of 753 m, is suitable for hikers, a typical stratified mountain that rises lonely into the sky and ends in Cabo de San Antonio.
Roman, Moorish and Spanish ruins can be found in the vicinity of the city as well as in the neighboring town of Javea, the Cabo de la Nao with its lighthouse, which offers a view of Ibiza when the weather is clear. Denia is also called the gateway to the Costa Blanca. The highest thing in town is still the castle, which rises about 60 m above the harbor. In Denia's Flanier Mile Marques de Campo, tapas friends will get their money's worth. For sports enthusiasts, Denia offers z. B. Horse riding excursions in the Sierras or dives in the cliffs of the Playa de las Rotas.
Access:
Denia is connected via the AP 7 Salida 62 motorway to the two airports Alicante and Valencia with a journey time of approx. 1 hour, as well as the national road N-332.
Ferries run from Denia to the Balearic Islands of Ibiza, Formentera and Mallorca.
The current ferry companies are Balearia and Iscomar.
