Both me and my husband come from large families and were born and raised in rural parts of southern New Jersey. We proudly raised a US Marine, who is currently on active duty, and an amazing daughter who is finishing college in New England. We immediately fell in love with Cape Coral and the surrounding areas of Southwest Florida on our very 1st trip to the area! We bought this home within a year of that visit. We find this area to be the place we want to go for both tranquility and fun. It’s a place that gives us the islands vibes right here in the US.

Why they chose this property

What drew us to the area is that it is central to so many coastal areas in SWFL while there is also so much to do without ever leaving the Cape. Frankly, we love the water views, palm trees, and the opportunity to have an aquarium full of sea life right in our own backyard! When we venture out, we’re drawn to the many nearby beaches in Sanibel and Fort Myers as well as the restaurants on the water, many with daily live music.

We purchased this slice of heaven in 2019 and have been making upgrades along the way. We are happy to be able to share our beautiful, Southwest Cape home with others to enjoy and make their own memories in when we can’t be here. While this is a new listing on VRBO, this 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is not new to having guests as it was under different property management.

Fun fact, Cape Coral has the most canals in the world (including Venice) boasting more than 400 miles!

What makes this property unique

The breathtaking sunrises, expansive, endless waterviews (we call it the $ million view as the house is located at a canal extension) and amazing sea life right out back are just a few reasons we fell in love with this tropical retreat which boasts a number of magnificent royal palms and other lush, well-lit landscape and amazing back space with extensive paver area and dock with tiki hut. This is a very spacious, comfortable home that has a flare of fun with the colorful coastal décor throughout. The infinity pool appears to flow straight into the canal creating a very tranquil feel and induces immediate relaxation and vacation mode. The very large kitchen is so inviting, has extensive counter space and is well stocked to meet all your cooking needs should you choose to have some or all of your meals at the house. You really don’t have to leave the property to enjoy the fantastic vibes of Cape Coral. If you choose to venture out, you can literally enjoy endless restaurant options, boating, fishing, watersport, beaches, shopping and many other activities within close proximity.
