Come see why we have FIVE star reviews! Spacious Meadow View Lodge, is built around the beautiful scenery at Lost Creek with views of meadows and mountains and close to Duck Creek Village and easy access to the abundant trail system of the Dixie National Forest. The cabin is located on Cedar Mountain between Bryce and Zion National Park and near Brian Head Ski Resort and Cedar Breaks National Monument. The Escalante Grand Staircase and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon are within a 2 to 3 hour drive. Local activities include: exploring lava tube carved Mammoth and Bower Caves as well as the Ice Cave and Cascade Falls (formed from a lava tube from nearby Navajo Lake); fishing at Aspen-Mirror, Duck Creek, Navajo and Panguitch Lakes; hiking the abundant trails ranging from slot canyons to alpine trails and viewing the abundant wildlife herds of antelope and elk. The cabin is surrounded by aspen, pine and spruce trees and the wrap-around deck provides viewing of local deer, chipmunks, blue jays and much more!

New AC and EV Charging! The cabin is a spacious 4300 sq ft. with the main floor consisting of an open concept circular kitchen, dining area, living room area with a wood burning stove and large windows looking out to the meadow and mountains. The master bedroom suite and two more bedrooms and two more full baths are also located on the main floor. A loft with a view of to the living area below, has 2 single beds and plenty of floor space for kids.

Downstairs has a large game room, full bathroom and large bedroom with 2 king beds and a smart TV. The game room has a billiards table, poker/game table, couch area with smart TV, and a kitchenette with sink, microwave and small refrigerator.

A covered deck wraps around 270 degrees of the house. The yard includes swingsand a horseshoe pit.

Ray (owner/builder) built this cabin as a retreat from the hustle and bustle of life in St George, after a long adventurous life as an outdoorsman. We recently bought the cabin and have tried to integrate some of Ray's cherished art, photos and decor with new furnishings, designs, and smart device upgrades.

Why they chose this property

LOCATION: This cabin is located high up on Cedar Mountain in the Dixie National Forest. The mountain forest setting is located within sight of Duck Creek Village for various amenities, such as restaurants, groceries, gas/OHV service and OHV/snowmobile rentals.

SOUTHERN UTAH TRAIL SYSTEM: Miles of trails can be accessed close to the cabin for mountain biking and ATV/OHV in the summer as well as snowmobiling, cross country skiing and snowshoeing in winter.

CLOSE PROXIMITY TO TONS OF PARKS AND ACTIVITIES: Seasonal horseback riding available in the summer months, great fishing in local lakes and streams is excellent for rainbow and the other trout and in the winter months, nearby skiing, snowboarding and tube riding available at Brian Head ski resort (back entrance when road is open). It's less than an hours drive to Zion National Park (back/east entrance lets you beat the crowds) or Bryce Canyon National Park. Day trips on senic Highway 12 to Escante, Canyons Lands and Capitol Reef. Cedar Breaks Monument is a 25 mins drive from the cabin and Cascade Falls is a 15 minutes drive to a short hike with amazing views. Explore many additional outdoor activities such as caves, slot canyons, petroglyphs, spelunking and hiking.

From Cedar City, start your adventure with a beautiful drive up the magnificent mountain Highway 14. Watch out for deer and antelopes! Once you arrive, enjoy the fresh mountain air and great year-round weather (if you like snow December-May). Local roads and highway are plowed and allow great winter access all year. There is so much to explore and do including the Big 5 National Parks, Escalante Grand Staircase, Glen Canyon, Lake Powell, (2 hours away), North Rim Grand Canyon and Lee's Ferry NM (2.5 hours) Explore the bucket list of slot canyons (Peek-a-boo, Buckskin Gulch, Zebra, Spooky and many more).
