Inspiration Lakefront By Tahoe Getaways - Estate w 5BR, Pier + Buoy & Professionally Designed
Perched on the highly sought-after West Shore of Lake Tahoe in Tahoe City, this stunning Lake Tahoe luxury home offers a rare combination of classic Old Tahoe charm and modern sophistication. Featured in Traditional Home Magazine (Summer 2025), this lakefront property spans 4,000 square feet and features five bedrooms and six bathrooms, perfect for families, groups, or vacationers seeking an unforgettable lakeside escape.
Originally built as a 1960s lakeside cabin, the estate has been meticulously remodeled to preserve its historic character while incorporating high-end contemporary amenities. Expansive windows throughout the home showcase breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Tahoe, filling the interior with natural light and serene alpine scenery.
The chef's kitchen is ideal for entertaining or everyday living, equipped with premium appliances, dual dishwashers, and a large walk-in pantry, while multiple living spaces on the main floor offer comfort and warmth, anchored by two gas fireplaces set within the original stone surrounds.
The private primary suite occupies the southern wing and features uninterrupted lake views, a cozy reading nook, a spacious walk-in closet, and dual ensuite bathrooms. Two additional guest suites on the north side include a lakefront bedroom with direct outdoor access. Upstairs, a whimsical twin bedroom and a family media room provide a perfect retreat for younger guests, while the lower-level bunk room with four double beds is ideal for family gatherings or groups.
Outside, the property boasts a private pier with direct Lake Tahoe access, an outdoor kitchen, and beautifully landscaped grounds in a quiet, serene setting. Despite its privacy, the home is just minutes from Tahoe City's restaurants, shops, and the scenic bike path. Additional features include a buoy for water activities, air conditioning, and modern luxury touches throughout. ABOUT THE AREA
Conveniently located two miles south of Tahoe City, you'll find the quintessential Tahoe neighborhood of Sunnyside. This heavily wooded section on Lake Tahoe's west shore features old Tahoe-style homes and classic cabins. Homes in this neighborhood are all centrally located between Homewood and Tahoe City.
Just down the road you'll find Sunnyside Resort and Marina and William Kent Shoreline. William Kent Beach is situated in a wooded setting and offers picnic tables and grills with views across Lake Tahoe of the eastern shoreline. Next door, Sunnyside Resort is a favorite year-round lakeside dining option.
During the ski season, you are less than fifteen minutes from Homewood Mountain Resort or travel just twenty minutes to Palisades Tahoe (formally known as Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows) which is the largest ski resort in Lake Tahoe. Palisades Tahoe has a shuttle that runs continuously between the base area of Olympic Valley & Alpine Meadows when both resorts are open for operations, weather, and traffic permitting.
POLICIES AND DISCLOSURES:
1. Maximum Occupancy is 12, excluding children under twelve (12) years of age.
2. Parking for 6 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited year-round.
3. Boaters must provide their own mooring lines. Tahoe Getaways cannot provide watercraft of any kind; guests must provide their own means of transport from the pier to the buoy. Depending on the water level, the pier may be too shallow to navigate for some boats.
4. Please note: A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to arrival, at which point the reservation becomes fully non-refundable.
5. The use of ANY outdoor firepit or outdoor fireplace is strictly prohibited at all our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping to keep our community safe from wildfires.
