We were in town for an event and this cottage was the perfect place. Nestled in an older, established, quiet neighborhood, it was close to everything and minutes from our event. Definitely recommend and would stay again!
This was our second time here. Great secure backyard for the dogs. Nice neighborhood to walk in, and close to the Village section with restaurants and shops. Hope to be back again so we can continue house hunting.
We loved our stay at this house! The house was clean and had everything we needed. The backyard was large and fully fenced with a privacy fence which was perfect for our dogs. We especially appreciated the security of the fencing in the backyard since we have one dog who is an escape artist. Communication was excellent, and we were even able to extend our stay when we had car trouble. The neighborhood was wonderful and safe, and we were able to walk to the Village area for restaurants, shops, grocery. We hope we're able to stay there again in the future!
Great property 5-10 minutes from NC State. It is located in an eclectic area, some older homes mixed with brand new very expensive homes, we loved it. Great front porch for having coffee in the morning and seeing people walk by. Big fenced in backyard for events and privacy and kids or pets to run. Everything was clean and neat, beds comfortable, easy check in, instructions in the home for Wi-Fi etc.
Though we did not bring a pet, it is a very pet friendly home, yet still very clean for anyone without a pet. Not sure if mentioned in the listing but there is a really nice park with fields and sand volleyball courts and a playground a 5 minute walk away.
We would definitely stay there again!
We would definitely stay there again!
Great location in the Village District, near NC State, and easy to get downtown. Quiet, with no traffic or other noise. Nice neighborhood to walk with old and new homes and a small park close by. The family room and kitchen are large enough. The bathrooms are small as you'd expect. The 2 bedrooms are separated (more privacy). We didn't bring dogs, but it looked like the place would work well for dogs.
The floors looked clean, but bare feet became black on the bottom. The toilets had paper bands to show they were cleaned yet one toilet had pee in the water. Besides that, the older house was clean enough.
The furniture is tired, and the 4 chairs spread across the bedrooms and dining table are uncomfortable and creaky. The lights in every room are dim making it tough to read or use the bathroom mirror. We moved the one bright floor lamp to the table for playing cards.
The front porch could use a couple of chairs (the porch swing is oddly high up). The listing says the front yard is landscaped, but it's just grass/weeds. The driveway needs gravel so you don't track in dirt resulting in the dirty floors.
Overall, it was a good stay, but the place really could use some freshening up.

Nice property but dog owners beware
The vacation started out great but after that it all went down hill. The property is clean and minimally decorated. The fenced in yard is nice and convenient for dog owners however, I would not consider this property as dog friendly. This is where the vacation went bad. On our first full day we left at 3pm to attend a sporting event at 7pm a neighbor called animal control and reported our dogs as abandoned and barking since 9am. This was a false and misleading report which is any dog owners worst nightmare. The property manger called me at 10:30pm to let me know this happened. We rushed back to the property to find our dogs quietly resting at the home. I called the host and she was not helpful . I called animal control who said the dogs were not barking when they arrived . I did not hear from the property manager the next day but when I contacted her on our checkout day she sent me a message letting me know that she contacted a neighbor who said that there was nothing out of the ordinary with the house or amount of barking. She received that text on Saturday and never let us know . We cancelled half of our plans and came back every 2 hours out of fear of another report. My advice to anyone considering this property and thinking about bringing their dogs is to consider what happened to us. We have been to many VRBOs and other rentals with our dogs and have never had any issues.
This location was great, with a lovely Harris Teeter around the corner, upscale shopping, a variety of good restaurants and easy access to other areas of Raleigh.
My father and I needed a home base while looking for apartments in the Raleigh area and this place was perfect! Great location, comfy beds and my pup loved the fenced in back yard
This house is adorable with great bathrooms and kitchen. We were traveling with our two Wheatens and it made the stay so very easy. Would definitely stay again on our next visit.
We stayed for a short weekend to attend a hurricanes game. The home was great the host included lots of thoughtful things like coffee pods and shampoos and toothbrushes. The house is very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Great location. We travel with our dogs and always bring throw blankets to protect the owners furniture from fur. We were impressed to see they already had pet protectors in place and the dogs loved the fenced in back yard. Very impressed over all with our stay.
Extremely cute house, everything was clean. The owners knew we had a dog and had bowls, toys, and a bed ready for her. The front and back yards were both fenced in with nice outdoor seating. We will stay here when we come back to Raleigh.
This was our first trip to Raleigh and we wanted something close to NC State to visit my son. The location was perfect and easy walking distance to Cameron Village. The house was very comfortable and well stocked . We brought our two small dogs and they loved the huge backyard. There was also ample space in the living room for their crates. We plan to come back again.
Perfect place for us and our dogs. Great location, quiet neighborhood, clean and comfy inside, fenced-in backyard for the dogs. Owner is very responsive. Definitely recommend!
Really enjoyed our stay! Great fenced yard for our dog!
10 out of 10! Would rent again. Cute, clean and cozy bungalow-style home. Walkable to plenty of restaurants in Cameron Village.
