Casa Almendro is a new, roomy studio with great Caribbean views.

This bright and breezy studio includes a large, furnished terrace overlooking the Esperanza shoreline. The entire second floor is your private paradise! Lots of comfortably furnished outdoor living space, including a dining table and chairs, dreamy Papa-san chair, cushioned couch and lounge chairs on the terrace. Inside, you will relax on two couches, two comfy double beds, and enjoy a well equipped kitchen. This gorgeous Studio apartment has everything you need including a blender for those tropical drinks! Listen to the Coqui in our lush tropical garden. Then, as the sun begins to set, lounge on our rooftop terrace! This is the best sunset in Vieques! The roof features 360 degree views of the Caribbean ocean and mountains! Custom designed and built furniture and a bar with a sink make this roof top the ultimate in living in paradise.

We are located on the southern coast of the island, on a cul-de-sac in the small fishing village of Esperanza.We are within walking distance to the Malecon, with it's great restaurants, bars and gift shops.

Malecon

Location! Quiet cul-de-sac yet steps from the beach, Malecon and wonderful restaurants. Very large space, wonderful windows and a constant breeze. Excellent kitchen. We had a great 3 weeks!

great views

always a good place to stay....convenient to the malecon with its restaurants and shops. Walking distance to the beach, and a small market a block away. We've stayed here several times and it's always comfortable but it's time for a little updating. (BTW we've already booked for next year!)

Our dream vacation

Everything was what we hoped for.Comfortable space, beautiful veranda, awesome roofdeck, close by Lydia’s market and other great restaurants and bars.We rented a car and I am glad we did. Eileen is very helpful and responds to questions quickly. We used the beach chairs, snorkel gear and cooler every day. It was always great to come back, and walk by the beautiful plants along the house and by the back patio.Love to come back

A Little Piece of Paradise

The home is in a great location as it is a short walk to Esperanza, but far enough to be quiet. The host was welcoming, kind, and helpful from the start. A large outdoor space with a view of the ocean and town was incredible. A small store was a very short walk away. We didn’t have much opportunity to use it, but the view from the roof rooftop was insane.

Casa Almendro Stay

The house was absolutely fantastic. Enjoyed the outdoor patio area and rooftop deck. Relaxing having my coffee and evening drink up there. Closely located to the Esperanza dining areas and beaches. Will definitely stay again.

A home-away-from-home in Paradise!

We cannot say enough good things about our stay at Casa Almendro! The location is perfect, in walking distance to the beach and amazing restaurants. There is a bodega a block away that sells anything you might need from food to sunscreen. Eileen and Anthony were the ultimate hosts! We left feeling like we had made new friends, and we are looking forward to our next visit!

Paradise Found!

Eileen and Tony offer a lovely home base for exploring Vieques. Located in a neighborhood in Esperanza, it is outfitted with everything you need for a low-key beach vacation, including an upper 360-degree view deck that we promise you’ll want to watch every sunset from. From the moment you stroll down the fragrant garden path to your little “treehouse oasis,” or enjoy the covered veranda, you probably (like us) start planning your next trip to this unique island. Close to the south beaches and maledon strip of shops/restaurants. Small grocery store an half block away. Eileen is just a text away from answering all your questions. She also offers beach chairs and snorkeling gear — plus great recommendations of where to snorkel. Highly recommend!

Great views from the balcony and roof!

The apartment is more like a cross between a studio and a 1 bedroom. Plenty of space and a full kitchen! The gardens around the house are very pretty and add to the privacy.

Perfect place whether it's for 2 days or 2 months!

We have stayed here before and it is a very comfortable environment. The views from the veranda and the rooftop are spectacular. The kitchen is fully equipped for all meals from a snack to a full dinner. Communication with Eileen and Anthony is very good. The gardens around the house are beautiful and well maintained! The apartment is within walking distance from the malecon and the beach.

Great stay

We very much enjoyed ourselves. Read the description carefully because there are roosters in the neighborhood- but that didn’t spoil our fun. A lovely place with amazing star gazing on the fully furnished roof!

Wow. Great escape

My wife and I spent two weeks in this lovely VRBO. Great covered veranda for open air dining and ocean views. Roof top star gazing at night. A grocery store is a block away and restaurants are over a five minute walk away. We highly recommend this place.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Almendro :) Breathtaking views, walking distance to shops, restaurants and beach:) Other attractions, to include kayaking the Bio Illuminescent Bay and Black Sand Beach a very short distance. First time in Puerto rico- but not last!

Great location. Amazing roof top deck for sunset viewing. Breezy porch. Well stocked kitchen. Welcoming owners-even shuttled us to/fro the ferry! Rent a golf cart ahead. Glass bottom BioTour is a must.

Anniversary Trip - 5 stars for Casa Almendro

My wife and I spent our 30th wedding anniversary week in Vieques and stayed at Casa Almendro in Esperanza. What a wonderful spot for our celebration. Beautiful beaches, good food and a fun / relaxed atmosphere. Eileens studio apartment was perfect as it is close to dining, groceries, and the wonderful beaches. We also had amazing sunrises and sunsets from the great rooftop lounge area at Casa Almendro. Thanks Eileen for sharing your wonderful property!

Casa Almendro is lovely. Vieques is a bit quirky, but simply breathtaking!

Eileen helped us navigate little things like the water supply being cut off to the island and gave us a wonderful place to rest our heads at night. The location is a little noisy (partying nearby on Saturday night and roosters very loud every early morning), but within easy walking distance to the malecon, restaurants, convenience store and tour pick ups. We loved it!

Wonderful visit to Esperanza Vieques

We were so lucky to find this location! It offers beautiful views from the roof top, a great outdoor veranda, a well-stocked kitchen, and is close to the Malecon. It is also quiet (except for the roosters). We rented a golf cart but probably would have been better off bringing our rental car over on the ferry (we didn't know we could). One beach is more beautiful than the next. Snorkeling was good as well. It is a great place to stay, especially compared to pictures we saw online of some of the hotels on the Malcone.

Breathtaking view

Eileen was amazing and very responsive throughout our whole stay! The apartment was clean and very close to restaurants, a market and the Malecon. Hands down the best part of our stay was the view from the roof. It is absolutely breathtaking and we found it difficult to part ways with this glorious, unique panoramic view of the island. I would most definitely recommend Eileen's space and look forward to booking upon our return to Vieques.

2nd Visit to Casa Almendro!

Stayed here pre-pandemic and loved it. Spent the last couple of years looking forward to getting back to Casa Almendro and our stay in April did not disappoint. Love the convenience of being able to walk into Esperanza for meals, to the market for staples, and the feeling that comes with being in a neighborhood. The house has a rooftop deck with gorgeous views of the water (great sunsets!) and Esperanza is an otherwise perfect location from which to explore the sites and beaches of Vieques. This second visit won't be our last!

Beautiful sunsets!

Anthony and Eileen's home is a great location if you want to stay in Esperanza, Vieques. But not only is the location perfect, this home offers so much more! In addition to the full kitchen, comfy beds, ceiling fans, there's the very large wraparound porch and rooftop deck! The views from the rooftop are amazing....especially at night for stargazing. The porch is furnished for al fresco dining or just lounging. SunBay beach is about a 1 mile walk away and is our favorite. Don't forget to visit Arenamar cafe at SunBay for great smoothies, Pina Coladas and a quick bite. We will definitely consider staying here again when we return to Vieques.
