The house was spotless, bright and airy. The beds and the couch were very comfortable. The towels were thick and soft. There was a pair of beach chairs and big, soft beach towels. It was easy to walk to the grocery store, restaurants, Vieques beach, and the spots where all the tour groups convene. The host was easy to communicate with. There were a few small things: the shower water will not stay hot unless you also have the sink tap also fully open on hot. There was no oil, salt, spices, and limited cooking supplies (we bought a colander at the local store). The bulb in the bedside lamp was extremely bright, not great for relaxing before bed. Be prepared to hear roosters all day and all night - that will be true everywhere in Vieques, lol! Overall, we loved our stay here.

Great stay! If you are unfamiliar with Esperanza, this may seem “far” from town on the map, but it was an easy, beautiful 8 minute (max) walk to everything. Plus!-The “white rock store” is 3 blocks away and has everything you need. (Kitty-corner from the baseball field) The twin beds are a little unusual but they are super comfortable - and you can just pretend you’re sleeping like Lucy and Ricky. AC is just in the bedroom, but it’s strong and totally drowns out the rooster calls. (Roosters are all over the island and totally unavoidable no matter where you stay.) Host’s daughter was super helpful and very responsive via text. No late bar noise. Safe, comfortable neighborhood.
