Dan and Shannon were wonderful to deal with from beginning to end, answering any questions I might have. The cottage was very clean and well stocked. The location is private and very relaxing. It was a great place to celebrate my husbands birthday with some family. Dan was also a great help when I left clothes hanging in the closet. We would definitely book again.
Glorious birdwatching location with large fowl lolling about the inlet, shore otters cavorting, birdsong surround sound and heron fishing nearby. The cottage is finished nicely and is beautifully serene while being close to the local hot spots. Our hosts were responsive and helpful, dropping off one or two required items. It is wine country, so we would gently suggest a few more stocked glass wine glasses.

Grandparents appreciated how master bedroom and full bath were on main floor for easy access. We also loved all the comfy beds and bedroom setup which worked beautifully for young and old. The modern kitchen was well equipped and big windows looking out to the green space and marsh ... we saw frogs, butterflies and hummingbirds in the backyard. One star deduction for spider webs on patio furniture but we understand we are sharing the space with Mother Nature. Overall lovely.

We are grateful for your thoughtful review, and so glad you enjoyed the beauty of nature. It truly comes alive (especially the sound of the frogs in the marsh). Thank you for staying with us! We hope you will stay again.
We are 4 adults who had an excellent stay in this spacious home.
The common areas are large, and the kitchen is well equipped. There are enough towels, paper towels, dishwasher pods and toilet paper provided for the duration of the stay, which is much appreciated. Our 2 favorite rooms were the large room on the first floor and the large room above upstairs with a toilet.
We enjoyed eating outside, even though the bugs liked to tease us.
We love animals, so we loved discovering the visitors on the grounds: a cat, rabbits, a small deer and even a battle of swans!
The courtyard is really intimate and quiet.
We didn't use the kayaks provided to go in the pond in front of the dock.
The proximity by car to Sandbanks beaches is perfect.
The seasonal pass is provided free of charge by the host to visit the Sandbanks beaches. However, you must RESERVE your visit to Sandbanks a maximum of 5 days in advance for each day you wish to visit. It's important to do so to secure your place at the beach. You give the host's pass number when you book. Everything was explained to me very well by Mr. Bisnaire before my arrival. He answered my questions promptly. Thank you, Mr. Bisnaire!
This property was so lovely. My friends and I were so happy when we drove up! Everything inside was beautiful and nicely labelled with clear instructions for use. Just an absolutely lovely cottage getaway. I would go back in a heartbeat
We love the Westlake area, and love to visit our cottage with friend and family. Prince Edward County is our hometown and we love all that the county has to offer.
Why they chose this property
Westlake is our favorite area in Prince Edward County. Our cottage is located off the best part of Westlake because its just down the road from the Sandbanks Provincial Park. Great boating, fishing and beaching all around. It is also close to Bloomfield shops and a short drive into Picton for great restaurants.
What makes this property unique
Our cottage is on a private inlet of Westlake. The waterfront is not swimmable, but we have kayaks and a canoe that is great for recreation. The marsh area provides protection for lots of amazing wildlife. We love that the cottage faces west, and sunsets abound from the deck and dock. Great, relaxing spot to enjoy with friends and family.
