Access through a gate that leads to the side of the castle in the furnished garden and courtyard. On one side of the courtyard is a staircase that leads to a landing with a private entrance to the apartment. Entrance to the living room with double bed. Another door in the living room leads to the complete bathroom with shower. Through an open arch, three steps down from the living room, there is the spacious dining room with kitchenette, which is complete with gas stove and refrigerator. A glass door in the dining room opens onto a wonderful, furnished and private terrace. The terrace offers a spectacular view over Proceno and the surrounding landscape. The pool area can be reached through an old tunnel below the castle on one side of the courtyard.

The price includes gas, electricity, water, bed linen and towels, final cleaning, heating, Wi-Fi (common areas), baby cot, pets. Not included and to be paid on site: deposit € 200.

These wonderful apartments are located in a castle in the Lazio region right on the border with Tuscany. The castle dates from the 12th Century and has a pentagonal base, which contains a main tower and two side towers connected by walkways, as well as a drawbridge, one of the 19 still in operation in Italy. The castle towers over Via Cassia and dominates the valley of Paglia, with Monte Amiata in the background. Surrounded by forests and green valleys, this rare example of the medieval fortress survives in its original state and offers charming accommodations and wonderful hospitality where you can enjoy history and culture without sacrificing modern comforts. The castle consists of 7 apartments. Three apartments are in the fortress part of the 14th Century. Although they share a common path through the garden to the pool, each is independent and has its own furnished outdoor area. Around the medieval courtyard are the other four apartments, also with a private outdoor area; the swimming pool (12x6 mt, open from mid-May to mid-October) can be reached through an old charming tunnel under the castle. All apartments have a fireplace with wood, for romantic and cozy evenings.
These apartments are a little paradise where you can move away from modern and chaotic life. The swimming pool is located in the large green park of the resort, from where you can enjoy beautiful views from the terraces. At the swimming pool there is also a renovated barn that now serves as a restaurant and in which long-forgotten recipes and typical regional dishes can be enjoyed in peace and in the beauty of the surrounding garden.
Halfway between Florence and Rome (both at 150 km away), the castle is in an ideal location for trips to art centers such as Orvieto, Pitigliano, Bolsena Lake, Tuscania, Viterbo, Pienza and Montepulciano.
