Amazing apartment in Pitigliano

The apartment is very spacious and full of rustic Tuscan charm. Beautiful views from the balcony and a very gracious host. Next time we return to Pitigliano this will be our first choice of places to stay. Highly recommend. Exceeded expectations.

This apartment is a great medieval apartment cloaked in history and sitting on the edge with a balcony to sit out and view the surrounding countryside and town. Walking to most of the town's amenities with good restaurants nearly or just stay in and cook a meal to enjoy on the balcony.

Unforgettable

I will never forget how we were watching the many many swifts flying and doing their acrobatic tricks just in front of us in the evening, from the balcony - while having one of the great Pitigliano wines. The view is breathtaking. And Pitigliano itself is great. Much to see which is historically and culturally interesting, while strolling along the narrow streets. Very photogenic everywhere. But - you must be a good walker. Distances are short however. And we always managed to park the car in the new town on let’s say 5-10 minutes’ distance. The apartment is really lovely and quite big in fact, in one of the ancient rocky houses in the old Pitigliano, with beautiful furniture and a nice kitchen. Good bed, quiet sleeping, and a brandnew beautiful bathroom. We were happy with the easy and responsive communication wirh Carla. And I would love to come back. Rich rich beautiful environment, we didn’t do a quarter of everything one possibly could do….. To be recommended!

Leben mit Kultur im historischen Altstadt-Zentrum

Die wunderbare, großzügige Altstadtwohnung - mit schönen alten Möbeln eingerichtet und einem angenehmen Panorama-Frühstücks-Balkon - bot uns zwei Wochen Heimat. Die Besitzerin, Carla, die in Sovana ein Weingut bewirtschaftet, hat uns freundlich empfangen und war ansonsten per Whatsapp gut erreichbar. Wir haben es genossen, durch die Gässchen vor der Haustür zu flanieren, mit den (meist alten) Bewohnern anzubändeln. Im August gab es Feste und Musik an fast allen Abenden. Die unzähligen Restaurants bieten eine große Bandbreite für Einsteiger bis zum Gourmet an. Die Kultur ist in dieser Umgebung verdichtet. In der Nachbarschaft das "kleine Jerusalem", die etruskischen, in Tuffstein gegrabenen Wege um Pitigliano, Sovana (ein Geheimtipp!), Orvieto, Lago di Bolseno und v.a. das Meer bei Port'Ercole. Die wamen Quellen der "cascate del mulino" bei Saturnia waren nur frühmorgens nicht überlaufen... Ohne Klimaanlage hat sich die Wohnung in der Hitzeperiode mit 35-37Grad tagsüber leider auch aufgewärmt, ein Ventilator hat etwas Linderung gebracht. Entsprechend hat sich das Leben in der Stadt morgens und abends mit Einbruch der Dunkelheit abgespielt. Das Auto kann man vor der Altstadt gegen 6 Euro Tagesgebühr recht sicher abstellen, uns gelang es, jeweils in den Wohngebieten einen guten Parkplatz zu ergattern. Wenn man ein Fahrrad mitbringen möchte, so kann dieses gut im Flur zwischen Haus- und Wohnungstür abgestellt werden. (Piaggio und E-Bike sind in Pitigliano hipp.)

Perfekte Altstadt Unterkunft

Wir können uns den anderen Rezensionen nur anschließen. Alles super. Die Bilder in der Beschreibung sind etwas älter und in der Farbqualität nicht die Besten. In der Realität ist es viel schöner. Über die Vermieterin Carla können wir auch nur Positives berichten. Danke für den wunderbaren Aufenthalt und die sehr freundliche Kontaktaufnahme. Zu den Parkmöglichkeiten sollte man wie in allen italienischen Städten wissen, das man nicht direkt am Haus parken kann und einige Schritte laufen muss. 10 Minuten Fußweg sind völlig normal. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Amazing!!

This flat was amazing and Carla was a fantastic host with great recommendations for things to see/experience in Pitligiano and the surrounding areas. Loved having breakfast coffee on the patio and being centrally located to everything. Will definitely stay again if I return to the area.

Eine sehr schöne und große Wohnung. Wunderbar mit antiken Möbeln ausgestattet. Es ist alles vorhanden, wie in einem gut sortierten Haushalt. Der Blick von der Terrasse einfach phantastisch. Die Lage sehr Zentral im historischen Zentrum.

Una perla nel cuore di Pitigliano

Appartamento storico nel centro di pitigliano. Attrezzato con tutti gli accessori. Non c è aria condizionata ma nonostante fosse agosto ,non si è sentita la mancanza. Non accessibile con l auto ma 2 passi fanno ammirare la bellezza del paese. Da ritornarci.. grazie

Un luogo fuori dal tempo

Casa fortemente connotata dal punto di vista storico. Architettura particolare poggiata sul dirupo tufaceo, panorama bellissimo e da brivido, spazi molto ampi e confortevoli. L'eccessiva presenza di arredi antichi, e l'illuminazione diretta verso il basso creano un'atmosfera un po' fosca ma suggestiva. La casa è corredata di tutto il necessario per un piacevole soggiorno. Il parcheggio libero più vicino richiede uno spostamento di dieci minuti a piedi. Il forno ebraico sotto casa è una vera delizia.

Great stay in September, town was excellent and full of locals. Suite had everything we needed was in the suite including lovely living room. Bed was comfortable and shower worked great. Would stay here again and recommend.

Beautiful apartment in middle of historic centre

This was the nicest apartment we stayed in in Tuscany. Pitigliano is a real gem. The apartment is in the walls above the tufa, with a great balcony and view and you can hear the bats in the caves on the other side of the valley in the evening. The apartment itself is airy and very tastefully decorated. We felt very at home there. Apartment was cool and perfect for sleeping at night even with very hot July days. Carla was very helpful and welcoming. Recommended.

a beautiful weekend in Maremma

Pitigliano is a little and beautiful village in the heart of Maremma (Tuscany). The house we rented is really nice and comfortable. The feeling is going back in the day of my grandma! Great food.. Lovely landscape. The house is precious and lovely! I really enjoyed this weekend!

A gorgeus stay

My stay in Pitigliano has been wonderful. The apartment is in the very centre of Pitigliano, It's warm, spacious and very well furnished. The best asset? The view of course. I've been there for a month and I did feel beening home. The proprerty is very clean and well-maintened and the owner provided a very warm and friendly customer service. I've already recommended this place to a group of friends and to my parents too. Moreover, in the nearby you can find lots of natural and archaeological attractions and plenty of good restaurants.

Amazing apartment in Pitigliano

Sited In the historical center of Pitigliano this is a luxury accomodation facing to south! A wonderful view offering you the green of the woods and the blue of the Sky! Try having a coffee or a tea, or enjoying your favourite breakfast outside on the balcony!!!! It is worth your entire journey! Moreover you can easily reach the sea in an hour or relax in the Thermae (Saturnia or Sorano) everything is an easy reach by your car!! An amazing staying! Highly recomended!!!
