Downtown Nevada City Private Studio

Private entrance with its own kitchen and private bathroom. Pet friendly yard. Nice view with a short walk to downtown Nevada City. High speed internet. The studio has a low ceiling so not be ideal for guests taller than 6ft. Please let us know your ETA so we can turn on the heater at least an hour in advance ahead of your arrival. This spot is perfectly located. We were just there for a quick overnight, not thinking too much about it, but it worked out so well that I'd just rebook here in the future. Lovely neighborhood, lush green yard, lots of easy parking, just a few minutes walk to the cute downtown, and right by the highway for driving off to the river or hikes. The studio is simple, well priced, has an easy check-in setup, and was a great spot for folks like us who just needed a touch down point, and a comfy bed, while we spent the rest of our time exploring.

Really Nice adorable digs in Downtown Nevada City.

Yes. It was perfect for me for visiting family and friends in Nevada City. Convenient and easy access to downtown. Also a plus that it was a west facing basement walkout, so it stayed cool for the hot summer nights and days. I would 100% stay here again.

great location! great price! clean and neat. very nice place to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Do keep in mind that there is a low ceiling with a crossbeam. Anyone above 5'7" will be likely to hit their head. If you're not tall its a great value for the price.

Nevada City Visit

Heater was old and did not work. Could use an upgrade. Had to climb a few steps to get to room. Not for guests with mobility issues. Kitchen had a small pot and frying pan but no cooking utensils. Property had no microwave. Room had a large support beam and can be a safety hazard for taller guests. Only 2 regular bath towels provided. At least 4 would have been more convenient. Overall, you get what you paid for.

Quiet and peaceful

The owner worked with us because we got in early and was informative about the area. The town of Nevada City was quite green and historic. It weighed out the fact that there was no t.v. We were also able to bring our pet and could tell they were very pet friendly in the neighborhood. We would definatly stay here again.

We couldn't get any sleep because of the noise from upstairs. The walls were very thin. There were also loud rodents in the walls throughout the night. The whole apartment (including the shower) was well under standard height and we had to crouch to move around. The fixtures were crude at best. We left after the first night even thought we booked it for longer. Also, the location was well outside of downtown Nevada City.

I hope to return some day

Our stay was perfect. Our host went well above to accommodate my party. The amenities were far beyond my expectation. We slept great, we had much ample space for various needs. The kitchen, bathroom, living area, this property is exemplary. The property is minutes from some heavenly swimming spots. I cant say more of how important it is to communicate, and our host was in contact with me since the day I booked the studio. They were understanding, thoughtful. I give this property the highest rating because our experience went as well as anyone could hope for.

Unappealing entry, a dozen scattered shoes on porch, chain saw, interior unkept, clothes and toys scattered, no apparent guest accommodation, no receptionist or anyone on the premises, came across as a transient stop over. Chose to not stay....wondering if it was a scam ad that doesn't deliver.

There was no visible accommodation for guests, house cluttered with clothes, shoes, no reception person at hand, entry way littered with shoes, chain saw, random tools and scattered items. There was nothing to suggest it was other than someones home occupied by a number of people. The house was empty, one to communicate with. In short, a disappointment....possibly a scam.

Our stay was excellent. The service went above and beyond. What other reviews said is true. What was not adequately noted is this is not a senior or disabled person-friendly option. The terrain is steep with no railings. Wheelchairs would not be an option. I had trouble climbing the long length of stairs nearly falling several times. I also have some breathing issues that made the climb more difficult. This is where the superior care and service came into play. Sam, our host, went out of his way to accommodate us. All we had to do was call him and he would come immediately to our aid. As he lived upstairs, it was not far, but dropping everything and instantly showing up was unbelievable. Whenever we would arrive from our trips out all we had to do was phone Sam and he would come right down to offer his arm for assistance up the stairs delivering us to our door. Sam also carried our belongings, always with a warm smile and a great attitude. Sam is the reason for our outstanding stay there. He more than made up for any inconvenience. When railings are installed, I'd be more than willing to book another stay there.

It was a dark and stormy afternoon

We arrived at "this place" on a very rainy and cold late afternoon and the heater was out, they had a small heater in there that they said would warm the room sufficiently however it was too cold to stay. The guy said if we had wanted it warm we should have told him and he would have plugged the heater in earlier. REALLY? It was going to take forever to warm that place up so my daughter and I had to pack up and find another place to go. I asked for a refund given the fact that we didn't have any heat and he gave me $20 back I'm very disappointed in this property.
