About this property

Comfy, spacious 1 bedroom house in Grass Valley, bohemian, romantic, artsy, cozy

This lovely and spacious hideaway sits on a large private and natural lot, which you can enjoy from the beautiful covered porch, or the outdoor seating area. You can walk or bike to town, parks, restaurants, fairgrounds, churches, disk golf, skateboarding, trails, museums -all 20 minutes or less. The house connects to an occupied rear unit, divided by a shared laundry area with washer and dryer.

The comfortable interior (earthy, bohemian, artsy vibe) is complete with necessary amenities; an equipped kitchen with gas stove and small oven, options for coffee and tea, books, games, a television and record player. This is a peaceful, relaxing place, with a romantically overgrown outdoor environment, that provides privacy, and coolness in the summertime. No tobacco smoking inside or outside ($250 fine).

This cozy home is situated in a nice older area of Grass Valley, and is barely visible from the road. As you drive up the first building you'll probably see is an old, dilapidated garage, but don't be deterred; when you follow the path up past the 150 year walnut tree, you will come the the welcoming porch that leads you to the front door, where you can let yourself in. While the feel of the yard is very enjoyable, there are still improvements to be made; it's a much loved, creative project in progress.

During your stay you can expect hear some faint traffic noise and normal neighborhood activity. The bedroom walls are adjacent to the private covered porch and your own kitchen area, and the neighborhood is generally peaceful. The queen bed is comfortably outfitted with pure cotton sheets, extra pillows and blankets.

Throughout the house you'll find original art pieces made by Mieke. You also have the opportunity to book an on-site massage with her, as she is an experienced massage-therapist. Her massage work can be described as integrated and relaxing, emphasizing slow myofascial release with a deeper intent. Just message if you are interested in booking a session, or if you have any other questions.

We'd love to provide you with an enjoyable stay in this fun and versatile area.
