Excellent place to relax...

We were looking for a place to stay to decompress after a busy Formula 1 race weekend and this home fit the bill perfectly. The home itself is clean, modern and beautifully laid out. The location is very quiet and all the deer around the area were a nice surprise to see. Everything from booking to check out went extremely smoothly and we had no complaints whatsoever.

Hilltop Oasis

Lago Modern is a wonderful property that’s sure to make any stay memorable. The home sits near the top of a hill with east facing windows for gorgeous sunsets. Breathtaking vista, modern amenities, and above all, a great host. Elizabeth was responsive to all questions and prompt in her replies. She made every effort to ensure our stay at Lago Modern enjoyable. Our family had so much fun in the pool and enjoying quiet dinners on the upper terrace.

Girls Weekend

Overall, this was an AMAZING venue. The open concept, the deck, the patio, the pool, the little swing. Everything was exactly as advertised and the perfect venue for our weekend getaway for recharging. The beds were also very comfortable. Everything was clean, minus a slight smell on the stairwell that the owner was immediately responsive to. Would definitely stay here again. Be advised that the driveway is slightly steep and both Apple and Google Maps overshoot the property during turn by turn directions.

Breathtaking

We had an extended family get-together, including 7 kids. The house is gorgeous with all the amenities you can ask for. It is an amazing modern build with an incredible view of the lake and incredible sunsets in the evening. The deck on the second floor was perfect to have the morning coffee and wind down in the evenings with a beer. The bottom floor is mainly for the kids, and nice to isolate them away from the adults upstairs. We were very appreciative of the owners. They helped us get into their house quickly, as we had to get out of a disastrous rental elsewhere on the lake. We feel very fortunate to have found this house.

Perfect for our Family

My sister and I and our families rented the house to visit our brother and his new baby who live in Lago Vista. It was the perfect place for our families to hang out with two infants a 4-year-old and two teens. The kitchen was great to cook in and the house was perfect for all of us to hang out, play games and catch up!

The Brickers have always loved modern architecture. After having spent multiple vacations visiting the hill country with other families and making great memories, they decided to build a dream vacation rental of their own. Rather than take the traditional approach, they engaged an award-winning architect, Murphy Mears to achieve a modern aesthetic and incorporate things they wished were in a short term rental but have never seen (such as two master bedrooms). The schematic design and site plan were developed with consideration for the specific property, topography, and views. They even used a drone to identify the best placement for the living space and upper terrace! The Brickers love Lake Travis and the City of Lago Vista which offers tranquility and access to the lake combined with the proximity to Austin, the Domain and tons of great hikes and adventures. The Brickers are thrilled to share our home with other families to make amazing memories.
