We had a wonderful stay at the ranch house. The property is truly special with all the animals. Marianne and Vito were very thoughtful and went above and beyond to make the experience more magical.
Super welcoming hosts, super wonderful location, super beautiful home. We loved every minute. Loved the hikes on our doorstep, the animals, the fire pit, the jacuzzi under the stars. It was all perfect. We will be back. Thank you.
We are so grateful that Marianne and Vito opened this magical property to our family! It’s just a short distance from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles but we felt like we completely escaped. We were welcomed with fresh baked cookies and freshly cut flowers lovingly placed in every room. The home was clean and decorated with beautiful antiques. The kids loved spending family time in the great room playing the piano and building with wooden Legos. The animals on the property are all clearly happy and loved. The kids loved visiting the miniature donkeys, petting the horses, and running with the goats. This is a new favorite place for our family and we are already planning to return!

Thank you Kelly ! Look forward to welcoming you back this summer 🌻
We had a wonderful time at willow creek ranch. Marianne & Vito are the perfect hosts. The home is so beautiful and welcoming. Our kids had the best time playing basketball and exploring. Marianne was so lovely with my daughter, taking her to help with the goats and other animals. We will most certainly be back.
Wonderful Ranch Experience for family and friends!
This converted barn on a working ranch was comfortable, great fun, and definitely the most unique place our families have vacationed together at!
Everyday the kids woke up excited to walk around the ranch and participate in taking care of the animals :)
Thanks to our hosts for their kind hospitality and for an unforgettable experience that we’ll remember for years!

We enjoyed all the help with the animals and the notes the kids wrote to the horses! We are always thrilled when guests appreciate this unique ranch, and hope to welcome you back !
We enjoyed our stay immensely! The rustic look of the outside of the old converted barn, belies the clean, spacious, welcoming space within. We enjoyed the quiet, walking around the horse stables, sitting on the comfortable front porch, and generally relaxing atmosphere. Owners Marianne and Vigo were warm and welcoming, and attentive. The welcoming array of muffins and drinks added a special touch too!

Our entire family — three generations — is still raving about the fantastic and memorable stay we had at Wheeler Ranch. The serene setting, surrounded by nature and animals, made it the perfect place to relax, recharge, and spend quality time with family and friends. The guest house and barn were absolutely wonderful — warm and welcoming, cozy yet spacious enough to allow for privacy when needed. The beautiful, comfortable bedrooms and inviting family room practically begged us to gather together and enjoy everything the space had to offer. There was no shortage of entertainment either. Chess, checkers, cards, board games, a piano, and even a guitar were all available for us to enjoy. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked for a large family, and the water dispenser was an especially convenient touch. We were also pleasantly surprised to find freshly baked cookies on the counter and beverages waiting in the fridge. Such thoughtful details made it truly feel like coming home.Marianne and Vito are wonderful, attentive hosts who made sure our stay was nothing short of unforgettable. The outdoor pool, hot tub, and basketball court were an added bonus, and we loved taking daily walks to visit the nearby horses, donkeys, goats, and ducks. There were multiple hiking trails right from the ranch, and when we felt like exploring, both the beach and Ojai were just a short drive away.It truly is a magical place. We all agreed that we will absolutely be back!
The ranch is beautiful! Marianne and Vito are great hosts! The only downfalls would be that there is no a/c. It was pretty warm during the day, but the evenings were fine. Also, the pool could use some tlc.

We always appreciate guests that take the time to provide feedback, The guest did not realize we don't have AC until the day before their arrival . Our historic Barnhouse, from 1907 has fans in every room and the Ranch gets gentle ocean breezes that travel through our canyon in the afternoon.
Our Pool and Jacuzzi are professionally cleaned and treated twice weekly.
We realize the Ranch environment is not for everyone,, and we encourage prospective guests to read through the Ranch's profile and amenities list prior to booking .and inquire if they have any questions to insure the Ranch is the best fit for their holiday., Other guests experiences at Willow Creek Ranch can be seen under our other Ranch property 1871330.
Beau farm stay. Vito and Marianne on spot on with every detail and accuracy. If you can please experience working success farm. The fresh eggs to the goats so relaxing.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Hosts are very considerate, every detail was taken care of. Prepare for a true ranch life with animals, beautiful country setting. House is a gem of true ranch vibe. Working piano, guitar, TV.Very comfortable amenities, full kitchen and clean bathrooms. Enjoyed jacuzzi and a night fire.We wil be back.
Had a great time staying here, really lovely property and fun to see the chickens and goats and horses etc... they brought over fresh eggs and ducks eggs which was very thoughtful and nice! Very cozy place and loved all the vintage furniture and decor style! Close to both Ojai and Ventura as well as some fun spots in santa paula. The only issue was that we didnt realize the hot tub, fire pit and pool are in shared spacing with another rental unit on site.. we still enjoyed the hot tub etc but never went in the pool since it was often in use and attached the the other home another family was staying in and having a pool was part of the draw of this property... it is also stated in the listing but we didnt realize. Marianne & Vito were so kind and we appreciated our stay! Definitely recommend it : )

Hi Amber
We're happy to hear your family enjoyed the Ranch. Because our pool is so large (40') and we have a lounging area with chairs umbrellas and loungers at each end, it has always been shared with the guests from the Cottage & the Barn. For complete privacy, sometimes families book both the Cottage and the Barnhouse. We hope to see you back at the Ranch one day !
I think we went in with pretty high expectations considering the price, but those were blown out of the water. First, the place is easily the best stocked rental/hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Every dish, pan, pot you’d ever need, spices galore, sharp knives (unheard of!), and even a watermelon and fresh baked cookies. Everything is so cozy and comfortable. Loads of pillows, blankets, towels, yoga mats, and bath robes. Beds have memory foam on top. Couches are deep and comfy, and great chairs. And, I mean, heated floors in the living room and primary bathroom! We didn’t use the pool, but the jacuzzi was immaculately clean and worked perfectly - with a gorgeous view of the willows and the stars. Marianne and Vito are incredibly kind. Set up a bonfire for us, introduced the girls to the animals, chatted about the history of the place, and dropped us fresh eggs for the morning. Here’s my one warning. This is a working ranch. There’s people giving riding lessons, caring for horses, and generally running the show. We NEVER felt a lack of privacy at all as they did a great job setting boundaries. But you’ll hear ducks, horses, cows, dogs, etc. For us, this was a highlight of the trip. We got to pet horses, goats, and donkeys. During a short hike around the property we came across the three rescued donkeys up the hill. If you’re not an animal person you’ll still 100% have a great stay, but don’t be surprised. In short, we loved staying here.

I found this property while looking for a rental near Ojai large enough for our family of five - and with three teens that isn’t always easy. The property seemed really lovely in the photos, but I was not really prepared for how cool the place really is. The barn house is really an old barn that was once a bunkhouse for the cowboys who worked on the ranch. Marianne and Vito have renovated the space with the perfect collection of handsome and interesting but comfortable antiques, and the bathrooms are beautiful. There is no central heat or air in the barn house, but heaters kept the bedrooms comfortable and toasty, and newly heated floors are an added bonus. The kitchen has everything - including two sets of dishes, one ceramic for indoors and one unbreakable set for outdoors. We didn’t enjoy the outdoor spaces as much as we could’ve - two porches, a pool, fire pit and grill, as we packed out our days with visits to Ojai, Ventura and Channel Islands - all very close, easy drives. We did meet all of the animals on site - including chickens, ducks, horses, cows, guinea fowl, and a bunch of adorable goats. The grown-ups also hiked the rim trail around the property, which has 360 views including a clear line all the way to the ocean. We could’ve spent all of our time on the ranch, and look forward to a return visit to do just that! Marianne and Vito are such considerate hosts. The kids loved it as well!

Thank you Ashley! Loved the photos you took on the trails and look forward to a yoga class with you on your next visit🌻
Great spot for a relaxing vacation. Beautiful spot in nature but still close to restaurants and attractions. The Barn House is well appointed and the property offers lots of activities. Will stay again!
My sisters and I stayed at the ranch to celebrate our youngest’s 40th birthday. What an incredible sanctuary to unwind and decompress. The reimagined barn/living space is beautifully decorated and just the right balance between togetherness and privacy. The weather was pretty mild during our stay, but the heated floors were such a nice touch! The esthetic is very antique, but simultaneously very clean, no musty smells on the bedding or towels, and it provided anything you may have forgotten at home. The outdoor area is so beautiful all light up at night whether you’re sitting around the fire pit or soaking in the hot tub. Lastly, Vito and Marianne are so welcoming, kind and easy to talk to. They were the perfect hosts in every way. We will definitely be back to visit them and the property again.
It felt so other worldly… such a short distance frim town but you woke to the sun breaking through the trees and a rooster crowing. We had access to a jacuzzi and pool. Then had a BBQ while playing cornhole. We all agreed, it took us back to being a kid and the outdoors were our play ground.
