We've stayed here a couple of times now and love it. The house is perfectly laid out and well appointed, the property is wonderful. The deer are friendly and plentiful!

Great, clean place to stay!
Beautiful home that accommodates a large group comfortably. We loved using the hot tub and having a large kitchen for cooking. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. We would definitely recommend staying here!

The home was immaculate and in a great location.
Really enjoyed staying in this home. Was very clean and organized. The screened in porch in back was awesome to end the night in. Would definitely stay here again. Also a walk down to the lake was very enjoyable
This home is very well appointed, is exceptionally comfortable, and close to everything. We were looking for a relaxing weekend away from the city and we got it. Loved the screened in porch with gas firepit, the hot tub, and constant view of deer running around the back yard.
This was the perfect house for our meet-in-the-middle NYE gathering with our friends from Chicago. The house is lovely, the yard is great. Lots of green space behind for the dogs to play. Thanks for the great stay!
Very convenient location, beautiful piece of property with an amazing screened in porch. Bathrooms & refrigerator were a bit dirty, and strange to have to make our own beds. Overall, had a fantastic weekend!!

Awesome gals weekend!
Beautiful and a real WOW when we arrived. Property was so nice, we started out our mornings and ended our evenings out on the porch. Lovely design throughout your home. Church Bells such a pleasing plus. We (all 5 ladies 60+) had a great gals weekend. Thanks!
Everything was wonderful with this home. Close to everything Saugatuck/ Douglas has to offer, including the Lake/ Beach. Home was in great condition and we loved everything about it, especially the 4 seasons room. Enjoyed coffee in the morning with the sunrise and some drinks at night with the wildlife, we saw lots of deer in the backyard. My kids had a great time and there was plenty of room for our 70 lb Golden doodle. Host was very responsive to any messages. Highly recommend this place for a wonderful weekend away.
Stayed at the house with 4 adults. House was clean and well organized. Backyard is huge. Screened in back porch is very nice. Updated bathrooms and kitchen. No washer, dryer, but not a huge issue. Would stay again to visit Saugatuck and surrounding communities.
Beautiful property!
Small corrections could be made:
No kitchen linens, dishwasher does not get items clean, no closet for use in master bedroom. All of these concerns could be corrected easily by renter.

Beautiful quiet property in an excellent location
We enjoyed our mini vacation in Saugatuck very much. Doug’s home is clean and tastefully decorated on a huge private lot. We loved cooking in the kitchen which had everything we needed to make a fabulous meal including cheesecake for dessert. We loved relaxing in the hot tub and our dogs had fun playing frisbee in the huge back yard. The walk to the lake was pleasant and we also enjoyed the walking trails behind the church. Oval beach and Saugatuck dunes State Park were fabulous. Great family get away!! Thank you so much!

Quiet charm and a ton of space. Close enough to everything you need.
We stayed at the property over New Year's and it was the perfect homebase as we spent time in Fennville, Douglas, and Saugatuck. Everything is right around the corner but the property still feels quiet and secluded. Perfect recharge. The fireplace and hot tub were great spaces to relax. We weren't able to make use of the screened in porch or fire pit given the season, but they are enough to make us want to plan a trip back soon! Doug was helpful and responsive to our questions leading up to arrival. Highly recommended!

Sweet and cozy
The home is cute and cozy, large enough for our 4 adults and child. The deck and yard were wonderful (as was the awesome hot tub). We loved the openness of the house (especially the kitchen and family room area), though we do wish the top of the stairs had a gate as it seemed like a hazard for our toddler. The location of the house was great though definitely not within walking distance to the center of town or the public beaches. I would love to stay here again nonetheless. Oh, and the beds were super comfortable too.
The house looked great, and it was as good as pictured. The term “screened-in porch” does not do justice to the lovely semi-outdoor room with its cathedral ceiling, grill, comfortable seating around a propane fire pit, table for 6, and view. Loved having the beach chairs and two bicycles in the garage. Also took advantage of the comfortable outdoor seating and wood fire facility. Very nice beaches within a very short drive. The walk-to public beach was closed since the ramp was damaged, but still an easy walk down to views of the lake.

Quiet, relaxing, yet close to everything!
The new addition to the house, a large screened in porch, was our home away from home during our 1+ week visit. From morning until late evening, including all meals eaten in the house, we were on the porch when we weren't out enjoying the sights of Saugatuck/Douglas.
The home is just a short walk to Lake Michigan, a short bike ride to either downtown Douglas or Saugatuck, so it's location was perfect for when we wanted to go into either town for lunch, dinner, or shopping.
The kitchen is very well equipped for preparing meals, the gas grill perfect for grilling, and the multiple fire pits perfect for roasting marshmallows for somores.
The backyard and screened in porch were definitely our favorite places of this very beautiful house, but it was all great! The hot tub was very relaxing and the house had plenty of space for all 5 of us to either hang out together or apart as well. It was my husband and 3 teenagers (13,16,17) and our goldendoodle. Our goldendoodle wanted to spend all her time playing in the backyard. It is not fenced in, but has a natural fence of trees and tall grass that kept her in the yard great! We would definitely recommend this home to others and we would gladly stay here again!

Wonderful!
The house was terrific, and had everything and more than the description. Bedrooms were lovely, the kitchen was big and perfect for cooking for a group, had all the pots/pans/utensils/glassware/plates/etc. you could possibly need. The owner was a pleasure to deal with, and the location was just as promised -- down the road from Lake Michigan, but an easy bike ride and a nice road for running. We had lovely evenings out on the deck, watching occasional wildlife, playing croquet which kids and grownups loved, and grilling and lounging on the very comfortable furniture. We definitely want to go back! Thank you for a perfect 3 days!

Beautiful, convenient property
The house was definitely as described. Very tastefully decorated and extremely well stocked with just about everything we needed for the week (other than food of course). We stayed in the master bedroom, and the bed was super comfortable. My kids and grandson stayed in the upstairs bedrooms and had plenty of room. I think the only negative thing I would say is many of the dresser drawers were taken with miscellaneous house stuff, so space was limited unless we took everything out of the drawers, which I hesitated to do. But we made do with what was available.
The dogs loved the open yard and it was lovely sitting around the fire pit and going in the hot tub on the cool nights. While we were concerned about not having cable or wifi, we brought a bunch of movies and enjoyed watching them on the large tv. There were bikes and games available as well.
The location is very convenient to a number of restaurants right in the area (including one right on the corner), and a few short minutes from downtown Douglas and Saugatuck. The lake is literally down the road, although access is limited right there. But a short ride down is the public beach, and Oval Beach is very close as well.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this property. We enjoyed our time there and would stay again.

Beautiful home...accurately described but updated since pictures of ad posted.
After booking this property we were notified by owner of renovations taking place. Majority of them were completed prior to our arrival. There is a screened porch and new front porch being added which will only enhance this already beautiful property. The new kitchen was wonderful. Owner was quick to respond to any questions we had while there, via text. One suggestion would be to have a lightweight vacuum cleaner on site for guest use. There are hardwood floors throughout and there was a swiffer dusting mop but no swiffer cloths available. There was an abundance of kitchen utensils/pots & pans/dishes/glassware available. There are also several items in garage for use at the beach (umbrellas, chairs). There were 4 chairs at dining table and 3 counter stools at kitchen counter, plus additional padded folding chairs in garage if extra seating is required at the table. The only odd thing was that the ceiling fans had light fixtures with 3-4 bulb sockets but only one lightbulb was installed in each ceiling fan fixture. We did need to utilize the roll away bed and had to get instructions from owner on how to access basement where bed was stored and then bring the bed upstairs. Should be noted that the washer and dryer on site are also in basement, for those with mobility issues. The bed issue was a minor glitch and was quickly solved by texting owner. Overall, we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay.
Our family had a lovely trip to Saugatuck area and this house was perfect for the 5 of us. Beautiful home, great location - close to everything. The back porch and views were so peaceful and the perfect place to unwind. House had plenty of room to spread out and felt cozy and special. Would stay here again.
Went with a group of friends for a girls’ weekend, and we tend to be pretty picky about the places we stay. Everything about this property added to the enjoyment of the weekend! Location, accommodations and communication with the owner made this trip relaxing and memorable!
The home is beautiful! The back porch is very nice, especially for enjoying coffee in the morning with the family. The entire home is stocked with everything you need.
This property was exactly what we needed for our visit. It fit our group of 6 perfectly. It was a good location to the downtown and the beaches. It had everything we needed, and you could tell the owner takes very good care of it.
We loved this property for our girls trip! It was absolutely lovely with the screened in porch, hot tub, & the location! Very near the things we wanted to do—sailing in South Haven, dune riding in Saugatuck, awesome restaurants, shopping, etc. Very clean and charming place with most everything you needed. Loved the beach chairs available in the garage which we put to use! Our host was accommodating and willing to help with a small issue we had with no kitchen towels available. We worked around that and would say our only negatives were the upstairs was very warm (AC didn’t seem to work up there—fans worked OK but still pretty stuffy) and we wished we’d had more bath towels or at least easy access to a washer/dryer. Also, a small issue since we didn’t watch much, but the TV has antenna only so hardly watchable—remember to bring cords/adapters for streaming your own streaming service (property description needs to be changed as it said “cable/satellite TV”). Overall, the positives far outweighed the negatives so we would still give this a 5-star rating! Would definitely recommend to others & would stay here again!
