A great place to stay

We enjoyed a long weekend in this cabin! Mike made the experience a breeze with a phone call to make sure we knew how to check in and give us directions. The cabin feels remote, but is only a short drive to the lake, Carbondale and Marion. It was very clean and was just what we were looking for. We will definitely be back!

Peaceful and clean

Great cabin for a weekend (or week-long) fishing trip. Adjacent to several of the popular fishing lakes down in Shawnee. Super clean, decorated nice, beds were comfortable, and having two bathrooms was a bonus (especially in this price range). Area was super quiet and safe. Would stay again without hesitation.

Very nice property. Not far from everything in carbondale or the lakes.The owners are very responsive to all questions. We would definitely go there again.. Very Clean and quiet.

We had a great time! Cabin was great and equipped with everything you need. Very clean and neat. Owner was close by working on another project and was very friendly and helpful. Planning on being back next year.

We had the best first vrbo experience. No hotels available in the town where our nephews wedding was taking place. Booked this cabin and it was perfect. Lots of privacy and a beautiful place. The Host, Mike, was very helpful. Definitely recommend staying here

Great cabin!

Cute, clean and comfortable cabin near Crab Orchard Lake and Refuge, well-supplied with whatever you might need. Only 4 miles from Carbondale if you want to go in to town. The owner, Mike, is easy to reach by phone and is a very nice person. (I met him when he was there mowing and we had a nice chat!) I will definitely stay there again if I make it back down to southern Illinois!

Quiet time

We enjoyed our stay. It was very clean we needed to bedrooms and two bathrooms and there weren’t many of those the owner. Mike is easy to contact and have suggestions. It’s location was convenient to the places we wanted to go. I would recommend it to other people.

Fishing trip

Four friends rented this property for 3 days fishing on Crab Orchard. The house was well equipped for everything we needed. Proximity to the lake was great with just a five minute drive to boat launch. We also were close enough to town to make a quick run if needed.
