About the host
Hosted by La Maison des Chaumes

Welcome to La Maison des Chaumes’ third edition.
Kelly, Rich and Lora are thrilled to be taking over the home of Laura Bradbury & Franck Germain in Franck’s home village of Villers la Faye.
Kelly and Rich are siblings and Rich and Lora are married (honeymooned in Provence, bien sûr). All living in Denver, Colorado for the past 15 to 20 years, they have collectively visited France more than a dozen times, but have been dreaming of international living.
In 2018 Kelly and Rich visited their friend Tom, The Hungry Cyclist, a mere 15k south of Villers la Faye. When they got off the train in Beaune, Kelly said, “I am going to live here someday.”
During the past two years, Kelly upd her reading game and reading became her escape. She got hooked on the Grape Series, not realizing it was based on Laura’s true story. She dreamed even more of buying a property in France. Being a big fan and a subscriber to Laura’s newsletter, Kelly bookmarked La Maison des Chaumes as a future place to stay.
Last Fall when Laura announced in her newsletter that her and Franck were going to sell the home, Kelly couldn’t resist and was curious. Next thing you know they were all on a zoom call discussing details and now here they are. They plan to continue to run the property as a vacation rental and will use it themselves a few times a year.
