Welcome to Sun+Snow Haus! A one-of-a-kind-Colorado experience.
Under a five minute drive from downtown Breck—and a mere 6 minutes or less drive from the ski slopes+hiking—but a world away from reality. Enjoy the tranquility of an expansive mountain home surrounded by lodgepole pines. Relax and feel uplifted amidst the modern, cozy warmth of a true Colorado cabin.
Originally created from a Sears cabin kit, recent updates to Sun+Snow Haus bring the outdoors in. The decor in each room was inspired by Colorado’s national parks and hiking trails. You’ll discover mountain relics throughout every room of this beautiful three-level home.
We welcome private events, corporate retreats, family reunions, and group getaways. The home’s close proximity to countless hiking and skiing trails means you’ll have plenty of options for shared adventures.
Plus, the peaceful, focused setting and lightning-fast internet speeds (300 Mbps/sec downloads) make Sun+Snow Haus the perfect place for remote work.

The space
From the moment you step inside Sun+Snow Haus, you’ll feel the comfortable warmth of this modern mountain cabin.
Enjoy vaulted ceilings on the top floor, striking deeply stained, wood-paneled walls in numerous rooms, freshly painted trim+accents, and brilliant, crisp interior design elements influenced by the Colorado landscape.
As you enter the main level, you’ll find a luxurious, large, sunny kitchen with bar seating, and a cozy breakfast nook just off the kitchen that transforms effortlessly into a dining space.
The nook is surrounded by a gorgeous, wood-paneled living room area complete with a remote-controlled gas fireplace and large sliding doors leading out to a sizeable deck+alfresco dining area.
Down the hall on the main level, there’s a shared full bath with a tub and two bedrooms—with room for four to sleep on this main floor.
Return to the entry and head upstairs, you’ll find two more bedrooms—one with a southeast-facing private patio for sunny morning coffee—and a shared full bath with a large walk-in shower.
Plus this upper level features a bonus space—a cozy northwest-facing hang-out loft for reading or lounging with friends while you take in the sunset through immense windows. There’s room for five to sleep upstairs.
Two floors down, on the lower level you’ll be pleased to discover another full kitchen, large dining table, rec-room space, a second gas fireplace, and large glass doors allowing access out to the hot tub and deck chairs.
On this lower level, there are also two more bedrooms—with sleep space for five—and another full bath+tub.
For your convenience, there is a washer and dryer located on the lower level.
In all, the Sun+Snow Haus boasts six bedrooms and three bathrooms spread out over three levels. The home sleeps 12 guests.
***In spite of having space for 14 to sleep, we can only provide space for 12 guests due to restrictions on the septic system.***
Children are always welcome at Sun+Snow Haus. Please note the steps to the lower level are fully carpeted. The open steps to the upper level are slatted with carpet treads.
We’ve provided dreamy sofas and chairs throughout the home for lounging, snuggling, watching football, reading, or playing family games. Plus there’s an epic swinging hammock chair in the loft for reading.
Your pets are invited to join you at Sun+Snow Haus. Please take into consideration the following:
$50 pet fee per stay.
Shedding pets or pets greater than 20lbs not allowed on furniture or beds.
Limited to three pets.

Guest access/parking
Plenty of parking for up to five cars. Easy unload + load zone.
No street parking is allowed.

Sun+Ski Haus is your basecamp for all things Colorado!
The cabin is less than 8 minutes from Breckenridge Ski Resort.
Nearby hiking+14er access includes:
The Trollstigen Trail—where the Breck Troll “Isak Heartstone” sits—is less than a five-minute drive from the cabin.
This trailhead is also where the Illinois Creek Trailhead begins. You can make a connection here to the Blue River Trail.
Quandary Peak is less than 20 minutes away and is one of the busiest fourteeners.
***As of July 30, 2021, there is a parking reservation system for Quandary Peak. You’ll now need to reserve a parking spot in advance or take a free shuttle to the trailhead from Breckenridge.
Access to “The Decalibron” is just 45 minutes from Sun+Snow Haus. This fourteener experience includes the potential to knock out climbing Mt. Democrat, Mt. Cameron, Mt Lincoln, and Mt. Bross all in a single day.
Grays and Torreys Peak trailhead is an hour away from the cabin.
Detailed hiking maps+descriptions will be provided for guests upon booking.
Hanging out in town?
Take advantage of the Main Street Trolley or numerous other free ride options. And check out the free Breck Connect Gondola—offering breathtaking views year-round.
From the cabin, it’s just an hour to the historic mining town of Leadville—the highest incorporated city in North America at 10,152 feet in elevation.

Getting to Sun+Ski Haus:
Don’t want to rent a car? No problem.
Take an easy shuttle—the Epic ride service—direct from Denver International Airport to downtown Breckenridge. From there it’s just a five-minute Uber, Lyft, or Taxi ride to the cabin.
