North Lake Tahoe Family Cabin _ Walk to Beach + Lake _ Dog-Friendly + Hot Tub
WELCOME TO TAHOE BLISS
Welcome to Tahoe Bliss — a unique family cabin in North Lake Tahoe that has been part of our family for generations.
Located just a short walk from Lake Tahoe and approximately a block from Skylandia State Park and Lake Forest State Beach, this is a special place to gather with family and friends — and bring the dog along, too. Lake Forest State Beach is one of the area's dog-friendly beaches, making this an especially convenient location for a pet-friendly Tahoe vacation.
One of our favorite things about this location is how easy it is to enjoy Tahoe without getting in the car. Walk to the lake and beach, grab coffee and breakfast at nearby Sugar Pine Bakery, or hike or bike toward Tahoe City using the nearby bike and trail network.
The home combines the character of a classic Tahoe family cabin with the space and amenities today's travelers want. With 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, multiple living spaces, a private hot tub, fireplaces, game area, workspaces and family-friendly outdoor areas, there is room for everyone to relax and enjoy the mountains together.
Spend the morning walking to Lake Forest State Beach with your dog, grab breakfast at Sugar Pine Bakery, then head out on the trails toward Tahoe City. Come back to the cabin for an afternoon in the hot tub, relax by the fireplace or enjoy a game with the family.
Whether you're planning a multigenerational getaway, family reunion, ski trip, summer lake vacation, hiking and biking adventure or dog-friendly Tahoe escape, Tahoe Bliss makes a comfortable and memorable home base for experiencing North Lake Tahoe.
THE LOCATION — WALK TO THE LAKE, BEACH & BREAKFAST
The location is one of the biggest reasons our family has loved this home for generations.
Bordering Skylandia State Park, follow the wooded trail less than 1,000 feet (approximately a 7-minute walk from the house to Skylandia Beach) and you will arrive at Skylandia Beach and Lake Tahoe. This beautiful beach has a public pier, picnic areas with BBQs and stunning views of the lake.
The home is also approximately a block from Lake Forest State Beach, one of the area's dog-friendly beaches. Bring your four-legged family members along and enjoy easy access to the lake without having to load everyone into the car.
Start your morning with a walk to nearby Sugar Pine Bakery for coffee, pastries and breakfast, then spend the day exploring Lake Tahoe and the surrounding trails.
For hikers and cyclists, the nearby trail network makes it easy to hike or bike toward Tahoe City. Bikes are included with the property during spring through fall, weather permitting.
Once you reach Tahoe City, you'll find restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, shops, galleries and additional lake access.
In winter, enjoy easy access to popular ski areas including Palisades Tahoe, Northstar California, Alpine Meadows and Homewood Mountain Resort.
Depending on the season, the area offers hiking, mountain biking, beaches, boating, fishing, skiing, snow activities and beautiful forest trails.
A UNIQUE FAMILY CABIN
This home is more than a vacation rental to us — it has been part of our family for almost 50 years and has been enjoyed by multiple generations.
The house has a unique "C-shaped" layout with two connected living quarters joined by a shared bunk room. Each side has its own living area, bedrooms, bathrooms and workspace, creating a layout that works particularly well for multiple families, multigenerational groups and friends traveling together.
The front house features the main living and dining areas, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, laundry and a large sunny front deck.
The back house has a rustic ski-lodge feel with its own living area, stone fireplace, bedroom, bathroom, additional sleeping/workspace and laundry.
The layout gives groups the opportunity to vacation together while also having separate spaces to relax, work, read or enjoy some quiet time.
Extended Tahoe Stays Planning a longer escape? We welcome 28+ night stays and offer special monthly pricing. Spend a month living like a local in Tahoe with a full kitchen, laundry, outdoor space, hot tub and the lake just a short walk away.

What a fantastic place! Just a few min walk to lake forest beach and a huge house with ample room for the 10 of us. Hosts were great and easy to get ahold of as well.
This property is perfectly situated walking distance to Skylandia Beach and a great little coffee shop both 2 blocks away. The neighborhood is friendly and quiet. Our kids stayed in the back part of the house and felt very independent. They loved it. The hot tub is a wonderful bonus and the hosts are fantastic. They let us check in early so that we could watch the USA World Cup match. Would definitely return!
The location of the house was great! It is walking distance to the nearest Skylandia beach, which is not too crowded with the tourists and the entire area gives a local vibes. We brought 2 dogs and they loved the walk in the woods to the beach. It is also close - 5 minutes drive- to Tahoe City Marina, where we rented a boat. (Their rental rate was reasonable compared to other places that ask tourists pricing. ) The house was big enough for us 2 families, 6 people with 2 dogs, with 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. It has a nice courtyard where we can grill and eat. Sadly we decided not to do so after we saw a big pine cone falling from the big old pine tree in the center of the courtyard though.
We had a fabulous time at this house— couldn’t have asked for more- plenty of space, every amenity you could need and an amazing location! Hosts were super responsive and helpful. We plan to go back!
Serene Views and a Cozy Cottage Feel at a Large Home in Tahoe City
We had an awesome stay at this house and enjoyed the local beaches, hikes, and other aspects of the prime location on Lake Tahoe. And of course loved the morning walks over Sugar Pine bakery. Will definitely look to stay here again.
The property was beautiful and huge, more than enough space for the family, loved the location and how close it was to the lake, we were able to walk there!

Thank you Erika! We're so happy to hear you enjoyed the home, and couldn't agree more - the location is incredible! Wishing you safe travels :)
Spacious house with lots of different areas to help with different sleeping requirements for all your guests. Incredible location literally minutes to Skylandia Beach. Would definitely stay again!!!
Very very well appointed house - kitchen and baby gear especially. Lots of room to spread out if you have multiple families. The house had a lot of character and cool nooks and crannies! Recommend for your next friends or family Tahoe trip.
Michelle was great to deal with! The house was amazing, it was clean, comfortable and close to the Lake. The bathrooms had ample towels and washcloths and the beds were
comfortable and easy to sleep on. The Wi-Fi was excellent throughout the house and the smart TVs were awesome. We will definitely be back, next time with a larger group.

Thank you so much for staying with us! We are delighted you had a wonderful time, and we look forward to hosting you again.
The location was well situated: only a 5 min walk to the lakeshore and a 5 minute drive to the boat launch. I really enjoyed the house layout and amenities like smart TV’s. Honestly, the only downside was a lack of air conditioning, which made the upstairs bedrooms uncomfortable until around 2am. I’m st
The location of this house is outstanding. Very quiet neighborhood with short walks to two different beaches. One beach is next to a dog beach. Fantastic! The house was more than able to comfortably fit our party of 7 adults and an infant. Communication with the owners was easy and they were very responsive. Our 3 star review is because the house was lacking in cleanliness enough to make the whole family uncomfortable. It is in need of a deep clean and some general maintenance.

Host was wonderful about check-in and check-out processes. The property was walking distance to the lake which we all enjoyed and driving to Palisade was pretty convenient even though it was the busiest day of the season (pow day). We enjoyed the spaciousness that allowed us to gather and retreat to our personal spaces. Plenty of parking so we can divide in groups to arrive at the mountain. Got a workout shoveling snow off the driveway and digging out our cars. Very thankful for the tools provided by the host.
A very nice property with an awesome location! A couple of hiccups with power and then the internet and a LOT of noise from crews working in the neighborhood most of the days we were there.
The hottub was working well, but the water was pretty dirty. A drain and refill might be in order!
Host was very responsive and tried to help by keeping us informed on when power and internet would be restored.
Loved being able to take the bikes for a spin or walk to the beach in the evening.
We stayed here in October 2024 so I'm late on my review. We brought our dogs and had a wonderful time. Its hard to find a rental that will allow multiple big dogs and trust that they are well behaved so I really appreciated their hospitality and understanding. The kitchen is very well stocked and the house is clean. It is very close to the beach and to shops and trails. The only "wish" I had (and this was not a deal breaker and I still give them 5 stars) is that the upstairs windows had better blinds/curtains for changing and so the sun doesnt blast you first thing. Again, I am late on this review and its been almost 6 months so its possible that has changed already!
Well-stocked cozy home, Air Conditioner units on second-floor rooms were a welcome find. Lots of space albeit a funky layout so large group hangouts take effort. Kitchens are small but there are two! The hot tub was not working but it is a good size and has a cute setup just outside the bunk bedroom. It was being fixed as we were leaving so should be all good ! ( one note: backyard is shared with neighbors) Restaurants in the area are just ok and none deliver so with so much traffic on the main road it is best to just cook (There is a Safeway en route to the house) . The Sugar Pine Cakery and Cafe, a short walk away, is AMAZING!! You can walk to two beaches ( not flat ). Garage had bikes and was set up like a game room which our kiddos loved.
Excellent stay at Tahoe Bliss! From start to finish we had a great time. Connor and Michelle were both very quick to respond to the couple of questions we had during our stay and allowed us to check in early and start our vacation on a good note. The property is just as described with plenty of space for large groups. Beds were all super comfy! Storage galore and extra linens and pillows in the closets, laundry detergent, even an extra bag of kibble and a bowl if you bring fur babies. We've stayed in many vacation rentals before, but Tahoe Bliss goes above and beyond with all the extras. Everything from bikes to games to kid toys. Normally in kitchens (there are 2 by the way) you get just the essentials, Connor and Michelle have every appliance big and small, enough dishes for a crowd, a fully stocked spice cabinet and even the pantry had pasta, rice, bouillon, pancake mix, syrup, ketchup etc. Clearly previous renters had left items behind, but leaving those items available for the next visitors is so smart on the owners part. The last thing you want to do on vacation is have to go buy groceries just to get started. (Safeway is still just a mile down the road though) The beach is just a short walk down the road with a separate beach to the right where dogs are welcome (we had 2 with us who had a blast in the water). Hot tub was great and had solar lights for tubbing at night and a nice grill for BBQing. We will definitely book Tahoe Bliss again! Thanks Connor and Michelle
This home is more than a vacation rental to us — it has been part of our family for almost 50 years and has been enjoyed by multiple generations.
We've spent countless family vacations here, and some of our favorite Tahoe memories were made within these walls. The handcrafted pine dining table, the fireplaces, the outdoor spaces and the quirky character of the home all tell a little part of its story.
We're excited to open this special place to other families and hope you'll make some Tahoe memories of your own here.
We're Michelle and Connor, longtime Tahoe-area residents, outdoor enthusiasts and parents. We've been hosting guests for more than 10 years and love helping visitors discover the beaches, trails, restaurants, ski areas and hidden gems that make North Lake Tahoe such a special place.
We hope you enjoy the cabin as much as our family has over the generations.
Why they chose this property
This home has been part of our family for almost 50 years, and we absolutely love its location. Tucked into a quiet, residential North Lake Tahoe neighborhood, it offers the best of both worlds — a peaceful place to relax while being just a short walk from Lake Tahoe and Lake Forest State Beach, one of the area's dog-friendly beaches.
We love that you can leave the car parked and enjoy so much of Tahoe right from the neighborhood. Walk to the lake, take the dog to the beach, grab breakfast at nearby Sugar Pine Bakery, or hike and bike toward Tahoe City on the nearby trail network.
It's a special location for families and groups, and one we've been lucky enough to enjoy for generations.
What makes this property unique
Tahoe Bliss is more than a vacation rental — it's a unique family cabin that has been part of our family for almost 50 years. Its distinctive C-shaped layout features two attached living quarters connected by a shared bunk room, making it especially comfortable for multiple families, multigenerational trips and groups of friends.
FRONT HOUSE The front house features the main kitchen, open dining area and living room with a 75" smart TV and vintage wood-burning fireplace. It also includes 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry and a large sunny front deck. The handcrafted pine dining table seats 10 and was made from a tree that was taken down right here on the property.
BACK HOUSE The attached back house has a rustic ski-lodge feel with a kitchen/bar area, wood-slab countertop, living area, large stone fireplace and 50" smart TV. It also includes a bedroom, bathroom, laundry and workspace. Street-level entry and assisted handrails at the two steps make this space a comfortable option for grandparents and multigenerational families.
The two living quarters share a fenced courtyard and backyard with an outdoor hot tub, while giving everyone separate spaces to relax, watch TV, work or unwind.
OUTDOOR & PET-FRIENDLY Enjoy the spacious backyard, horseshoe pit, dog run with access to the front deck and fully fenced patio area. With Lake Forest State Beach — one of the area's dog-friendly beaches — just a short walk away, it's a great home base for families traveling with dogs.
PARKING The flat driveway accommodates up to 4 large SUVs or approximately 6 smaller cars. Additional boat parking may be available — please inquire. There is a garage which works best for storing your outdoor gear.
This cabin has been part of our family for generations, and we hope you'll make some Tahoe memories of your own here.
