We celebrated our 24th wedding Anniversary with a trip to Decorah. Our one night stay was very relaxing especially after a day of shopping and hiking. The farm fresh eggs were a welcome treat for breakfast! The cabin was decorated with lots of flowers. We'd love to stay again sometime!
A special gem of a place. Quiet, charming, warm, and inviting. A place for rest and relaxation, for quality time with a partner, siblings, or good friends. I didn’t want to leave!
We had a great stay. Used the hot tub and could have spent more time at the property if we would not have had other plans. Quiet and peaceful. Tons to do in the area!
This property was everything we were looking for. This weekend getaway was made complete by the rural location and peaceful setting. The owners house is a little close, but not bothersome at all. We really enjoyed our time and would definitely come back!
This is such a beautiful little cottage/cabin. It has all the things you’d need from home. The host is wonderful and takes such good care of you while there. I really appreciated her quick responses and suggestions. Decorah is such a beautiful area to unwind and reconnect. This home is actually more beautiful in person than in the pics.
Lindsey was an incredible host at a beautiful rural property! She met us outside as we arrived, showed us the property, and truly went above and beyond to accommodate a few of our requests! The topper was bringing us fresh eggs and garden asparagus that were delicious. Only wish we had planned to stay more than one night.
If I’m ever in Northeast Iowa again, I won’t hesitate to stay at her property! Thank you Lindsey!
This property was absolutely perfect for a girls' weekend, despite the rainy weather! Adorable cabin full of antique charm and character. Lindsey was a great host!
Beautiful cottage - like something out of a book! Lindsey was very welcoming. We enjoyed the surrounding trails, farm pets, and especially the hot tub!
Great place, cozy and great hosts. Loved all the activities on the property, the hosts let us pick apples, showed us the chickens, fed midnight the pony, met the goat and lambs, etc. Which my 4 yr old loves! The campfire was a bit of a hike for my older mother in law but we made it work. At fault of my own, I didn't realize there wasn't a stove but made my meals work with the provided electric skillet and crock pot. King bed is very comfy! Thanks for a great time!
My husband and I had so much fun staying at Lindsey's place! She has board games. We cooked our own food there which was great. The back porch looking into the forest is wonderful. And just incredibly cozy! The animals are also super fun. We would definitely return! Thanks 😊
Very nice and clean property! If you need to disconnect, this is just the place. Clean and secluded. There is a nice patio out back where you can enjoy the view of the woods or take a walk on the many acres of the property. We will be back!
This quaint cottage on Lindsey’s homestead was the perfect place for a quick ladies getaway! It was close enough to Decorah for us to visit a variety of shops, restaurants, and drinking establishments. Yet we were able to escape the city to enjoy the clean, cute, and fully stocked cottage and a campfire under the stars. Lindsey was the best hostess and was extremely accommodating! We had a wonderful stay!
Our family of five had so much fun staying at this cottage. We booked a last minute trip to Decorah and stayed 1 night, we wish we could have stayed more! The cottage was very clean and so cute! We were welcomed by the owners upon arrival and felt welcomed right away. They even let our daughter bottle feed one of their animals. The cottage was very comfortable, and we enjoyed a fire and some time in the hot tub. Lindsey even left the best cold brew coffee in the refrigerator for us, farm fresh eggs for breakfast and then sent us a a list of ideas of things to do the next day in town. We had so much fun and would love to visit again!
