Beachfront 3 bedroom 2 bath with screen porch. Pet friendly with a pet fee.

Premier Host-Relaxing three bedroom, two bath house on the beach. Large screened porch and sun deck on the beach side. All the amenities of a home away from home with master bedroom with king bed and attached bath with stand up shower. Second bedroom with queen bed and third bedroom with a double bed and twin bunk beds, ceiling fans in two of the three bedrooms, Wifi, 3 smart TVs, AM-FM stereo with blue tooth capabilities and inside and outside speakers. Fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, quiet dishwasher, stove, microwave, Keurig and Mr. Coffee makers, refrigerator with ice maker and washer/dryer. Vinyl plank flooring in entire house.

Covered parking and covered entry to keep you dry for the rainy days. Outside the house, there is a beachside deck with a kid/dog gate and beach front screened in porch with porch swing, a picnic table for oceanfront dining and rocking chairs to enjoy the ocean view, outside shower, sun porch and charcoal grill. No smoking. Pets(dogs) allowed with a $195 fee per pet, maximum of 2 dogs unless approved by owner. Towels and linens are NOT INCLUDED and must be pre-ordered.

Dolphin Watch is located between the towns of Surf City Topsail Beach. Both offer many shopping and dining options. Also, about a one-hour drive to Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach.

My cancellation policy is listed as a no refund policy because the VRBO site does not offer my cancellation policy. But if you need to cancel your stay and I can rent the dates you reserved I will refund your rent.

This place was a great find. It is perfectly situated on the beach, clean, well cared for, and well furnished. It is obviously owned by a family that cares about their home, not only for themselves, but also for anyone who stays there. We have already booked a week for next year. What a great place to land when you want to have fun at the beach.

Great stay. Screened porch is the star - cut the cool breezes that sent everyone else inside. Beach was not crowded even though near two public access points. Perfect beach for your dog. People/community very friendly and courteous. A very relaxing peaceful week.

Dolphin Watch Beach House

The weather, while a bit warm for our weekly visit, was excellent. The Top Sail beach location for this property--also excellent--was just the right size for our family of four adults and a dog. The kitchen had all the cooking tools needed for eat-in dining. We especially liked the screened-in deck overlooking the beach, as well as the portion of the deck in front of the screened-in area. Sea turtles nested in the dune very near this property and we were able to watch several young sea turtles make their way to the water's edge. We hope they survive! The property owner was a joy to work with and was very accommodating. This property is a prime on-the-beach location on the southern end of the Surf City beach area. We are seriously considering renting this very property for next year's family vacation!

Perfect Beach Cottage

This was our first time staying at this property and me and my family had a wonderful relaxing time. The screen porch was perfect for the kids to eat lunch outside at the picnic table and read in the swing and rocking chairs in the afternoons. The kitchen had everything we could’ve needed. Everything was clean and tidy. Great location. Quiet part of the beach, mostly other families. We loved being able to just walk down and be right on the beach to swim or fly a kite. Thank you for allowing us to stay. We would definitely book here again if we return to topsail beach.

Already Planning Next Year!!

My husband, our four kids, my mom, and our two dogs just spent an entire week at Greg’s place. We had the most fantastic time right from the start. The best part about the whole place is the amazing screened in porch that allowed us to be outside at all hours of the day, regardless of the weather, with a full view of the ocean. Everything was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. We already can’t wait to return next summer. Rest, Relax & Recharge!

After dealing with two weddings in 5 months for our daughters plus several medical issues with our aging parents, we just needed time away to unplug, relax, and recharge. Dolphin's Watch was the perfect place to do that! It had everything we needed for entertainment, cooking, sunbathing, and unwinding. Our favorite aspects of this gem were the cleanliness of the accommodations overall, the responsiveness of the owner, the screened in porch with rocking chairs, the quiet location, and the large windows across the front that gave us a beautiful view of the ocean all day long. A bonus for us was the fact that it's turtle nesting season and we were able to witness this first hand nearby! We only left the cottage twice in 7 days to pick up additional provisions. We were sad to see our week come to an end but it gave us exactly what we needed! We plan to be repeat visitors at Dolphin's Watch because it felt exactly like home to us! Thanks Greg for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!

Great Beach Cottage

Overall, we really enjoyed staying at Dolphin Watch. The home is exactly what we look for in a cottage on the beach. Comfortable, clean, and inviting in an old school way. Is it opulent? Nope. But it feels like your home away from home. Topsail charm without the prentenciousness. It truly has all you'll need in the kitchen to boil up some shrimp and grill some fresh snapper. As a big bonus in August, the AC ran perfect. My teenage daughters loved the hot water capacity too! The owner has stocked a homemade spice Cajun rub that is excellent!

Perfect beach home!!

Wow! This is one of the first times I've rented a beach house and found not a single thing I would change. It was perfect in every way. As soon as you walk in the front door you're hit by the amazing views. The kitchen is well-equipped including dishwasher and garbage disposal. The living room is comfortable and accomodating. The beds are all comfortable. One of the very best features of the home is the screened in porch overlooking the ocean. An outdoor shower and hose are conveniently placed so you can rinse off after every trip to the beach. We set up our pop-up right outside the back door. If you need to go back to the house for anything it's just steps away. We spent days boogie boarding, beach-combing, relaxing; nights ghost crab hunting and watching the fireworks! Just perfect. Thank you so much for providing this wonderful home!

The Dolphin Watch was beautiful the views from the porch and dinning room will take your breath away, This is for a family vacation, very private beach, the ocean is right out the back door i mean its just right there that was great.. You will have to travel if you are wanting to see sights other than the Ocean... Well stocked kitchen.. we did a lot of cooking.. crab hunting at night is fun so make sure you bring a flash light and they are very fast.. Owner was very nice if we had problems he was a phone call away. big help.. the pictures are exactly what it is and what you are getting..We went golfing that was an hour away.. went on a boat tour that was an hour away.. The crab pot was good and batt's was good and nice price dinners.. The house could have been a little cleaner but it was still a good time with my family... If you want the view then this is the place to stay get a cup of coffee or a nice cold beer just sit back and watch the waves and DOLPHINS yes we seen a couple of them during our stay... Cant wait for next year i will be calling to get this place again.. we loved our stay.. Thanks

We’ve rented many beach places over the years. The location of Dolphin Watch is the best of them all. A few steps down off the deck and you are on the beach…it was very nice!

There isn't one bad thing to say about this trip. The house was just right size on a beach that wasn't overcrowded. The weather was perfect during our trip. Two small thunderstorms in the evening after beach time was over. Great place to stay. Will definitely be looking to book a return trip 😁

This is the perfect beach cottage. It has an excellent view of the beach with immediate access off the front deck, has a wonderful screened in porch (and deck), clean, well equipped kitchen, hall bathroom was particular good as it was a large size and had excellent water pressure. Beach Vacation

Excellent stay at Greg's place

I come to Topsail every year, and it is always my (and my family's) favorite time. This year it was just my kids, husband, and my parents, and we felt very at home. Greg's house was the perfect size, and had all of the things we needed to keep us comfortable. We LOvE the screened in porch and the ability to hang things inside it like swimsuits. The best part though, was how close the property is to the beach. As I said before we stayed at several houses and a lot of them have a very long walk to the beach even on the deck and stairs down to the beach... My parents are aging now and it's difficult for them to walk too much up and down a lot of stairs that are steep this was so perfect. Thank you again for having us!

I am a native North Carolinian and always wanted a place at the beach. As you can see from our picture, my family loves Dolphin Watch and we get to the beach as often as we can. Over the past 20+ years over 50% of my renters come back to Dolphin Watch. I keep a clean home and try to update something in the home each off season. I currently live at Kerr Lake but love the water, either at the beach or the lake. Dolphin Watch is a second home to me and to my guests.

Why they chose this property

Most of my guests have the same comment, 'Your beach house feels like home'. Every year, I make upgrades to the home based on input from my guests. The kitchen is very well equipped. The home is located on a quiet part of the beach, but a 5 minute ride to the towns of Surf City or Topsail Beach.

What makes this property unique

Screen porch and porch swing-great place to sit and watch the sun rise or to watch the waves roll in. The living area and dining area of the home have sliding glass doors that give guests a great view of the beach. Our home has a covered entry from the parking area. Our home is on one level, so easy access.
