Sanctuary at Clear Lake REQUIRES a walk-through at check-out. We are a large facility and ALWAYS find items left behind during the walk-through. It also helps us avoid unnecessary charges.
For loading and unloading, DO NOT prop doors open for more than a few minutes at a time. Charges will be issued when the doors are left open for long periods of time.

The Sanctuary was an absolutely wonderful place to host our family reunion! What a uniquely designed, functional, and comfortable space! The amount of space alone is incredible, with a plethora of bedrooms that made it perfect for a large group. The kitchen is fully furnished with everything you could possibly need, making meals a breeze... From the Kitchen Aid mixer to a popcorn popper, this kitchen is FULLY stocked! The various living rooms and gathering spaces were exceptionally comfortable, and could accommodate a large group of us, with alternate smaller spaces to retreat to. We also loved the high-quality furniture throughout the home - it was comfortable, stylish, and clearly well chosen. The entire property felt spacious, welcoming, and thoughtfully equipped. We had a wonderful time in this unique VRBO. Having the whole family under one roof and able to eat meals together in the large dining room was so very convenient. We would definitely encourage a stay at the Sanctuary; it is well worth it.

This is a beautiful spot for a family get together. The place is large enough for people to spread out and have privacy. There are great gathering spots to all be together too. It is the best stocked kitchen of all rentals I have ever been in. It does have a lot of stairs. If you have people with mobility issues you just need to plan out room assignments.The grocery store in the town is more than adequate. There is a park with camping and a swimming area too. It's a lovely small town.I can't say enough kind words about the owner and manager too. Check in and check out were flawless. I really appreciated them contacting me about all the items we left behind. Great place, it has my highest recommendation.

Absolutely perfect for our group stay. We had 10 adults and 7 kids, and the home’s spacious layout made it incredibly comfortable for everyone. We never felt crowded — there was plenty of room to gather, relax, and spread out.The cleanliness stood out immediately, and the furnishings were high‑quality, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. The AC kept the entire house cool even on the hottest days, which was a lifesaver with such a large group.The fully stocked kitchen was another highlight. It had everything we needed to cook big meals, and the space made it easy for multiple people to prep food at once.We also loved how close the property is to Clear Lake Park — it made it incredibly convenient for us to head over for swimming and picnicking. Being able to enjoy the lake so easily was a huge bonus for our group.Finally, the in‑person check‑in and check‑out with the host was seamless and genuinely appreciated. They were welcoming, helpful, and made the whole process feel easy.We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended.

Family Holiday

We had a great stay in Clear Lake. The house was big enough to comfortably fit our large extended family and the location was close to the everything. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well equipped for large meals, and the gathering areas were perfect for our group. We will definitely stay again!!

Bobbi was wonderful throughout our time there at the Sanctuary. We had 46 people staying there for our family reunion and it was amazing! The kitchen was fully stocked. We had 2 large gathering places and the beds were comfortable. Checkout was smooth too. We liked it so much that we will be going back for our next family reunion.

Great family reunion spot

We had 25 people for our reunion from MN, CT, NJ, PA, CO, TX, and it was the perfect spot! Fun things to do nearby, plenty of bedrooms/beds, lots of space to hang out, well appointed kitchen with everything we needed. We hope to come back some time soon!

Wonderful spot for a large group

We loved our stay at The Sanctuary! It was the perfect spot for our large group, including many small children. Plenty of space for meals, play, and hanging out. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and laundry. We look forward to coming back next year!

Beautuful Property

The property is beautiful. The owners have gone the extra mile to provide a nice, clean and comfortable stay. The furnishings are nice and new, beds are comfortable and the linens are fresh and cozy. I would recommend this property and would come back again.

This was a great place

We had a family reunion here with 37 people. The space was awesome! Lots of spaces for all of us to gather together. The kitchen was amazing!! The manager was great and very accommodating! We would definitely consider staying here again.

All you can Ask for a Rental Property

We rented this property for our family Christmas party. The place is huge with plenty of room for the whole family of 24 people. The house has all you can possibly need. We really had a good time here.

A fantastic second stay

This was our second time staying at the sanctuary with 12 adults and 14 kids. It was the absolute perfect space for us. Plenty of room for meals and for kids to run around. Plenty of bedrooms so we all had our own space and a great lounge area upstairs. Super close to the lake and a short drive from the Twin Cities. We look forward to coming back next year.
