We are 3 sisters who grew up in Bristol. Two of us have moved away. This cabin was a great way for us to meet up and talk all night and not have to drive. The accommodations are spectacular. The views of the hillside drive here were fantastic. Couldn’t have asked for a better place.
This is a lovely cabin, comfortably furnished and very quiet and peaceful. It has a large porch with lots of rockers that is great for catching the breeze.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Property was like located close to town and wonderful restaurants. My son and I rode the Virginia Creeper trail on our bikes and we loved it.
We were in town for just a couple nights and pleasantly surprised by the little cabin and location of this property. Very well kept and everything you need.
This was the perfect place for my husband & I to get away, and ride the Virginia Creeper trail. The house was perfect & we lived sitting out on the deck!
We visited for a week and loved the location. The cabin is spacious and has a great deck. I would stay again. The main issue was that the grill was unusable. It is missing the handle, and is full of char. We tried to use it, but the char caught fire and smoke was everywhere. We were outside monitoring the grill, so we were able to turn it off immediately.
This house was one of the best rentals I’ve stayed in! The house was very clean, stocked with just about anything you would want, comfortable beds and bedding, and near the lake and Creeper Trail! The owner was very responsive to any questions. I highly recommend this owner and the rental! Thanks Amanda for a wonderful stay!!
The location was rural which was what we were wanting. Our last cabin rental was right downtown so this was perfect. There were three bedrooms and two baths. There was a TV in every bedroom which was awesome cause my husband and I like to unwind watching a little TV before we go to sleep and a large TV in the living room, there was a gas grill available outside that we used, an amazing front porch with lots of seating, 2 coffee makers, a Keurig and a regular coffee maker, microwave, stove, and refrigerator. It was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. We loved our stay and if we travel to that area next year we plan on trying to rent again.
In town for our youngest son's wedding, we needed a place close to the wedding venue, large enough for a few couples to sleep and relax between events and was also pet friendly....Lakeshore Retreat met our needs perfectly. The house itself is gorgeous, had a fully stocked kitchen where I was able to make breakfast every morning before each days festivities, enough bathrooms (fully stocked also by the way) for all of us, and plenty of space for us to veg out and relax. And who can forget the porch..a great place to enjoy an early morning cup of coffee. Everything about our stay was perfect and I can't thank Amanda enough for her responsiveness and sharing this beautiful home.
Cabin was cozy, we did wish the fireplace worked. It was clean, plenty of supplies. Hopefully the next time we come the grill will be a better grill. A fire pit would also be wonderful but not sure if those are allowed. We do not have animals so it was nice to not have to smell dogs as usually happens when places allow dogs. Amanda was very helpful and answered questions for me within 20 minutes which was nice.
I have stayed in Abingdon many times, but this is by far the best property I have rented. It was clean, great location, and easy to get in and out of. The host made it very easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this property.
My friend and I came for 4 nights. The cabin is clean and peaceful. Every morning we enjoyed watching the deer. In the evening we relaxed on the porch. The house was clean and perfect for us. I would highly recommend renting this cabin.
This property was fantastic! So cozy and in a beautiful area. The property was perfect for my family. The host was a pleasure as well. She is so pleasant and prompt to answer any questions. I would recommend this property to all of my friends. I can not wait til come and stay again.
Cabin was updated, clean, and a great space for winding down after we fished all day. Everything was very comfortable and the location was perfect for our trip.
This cabin is very nice and was clean. The large front porch was perfect for hanging out on a rainy day. It is located in a beautiful area on a large hillside lot. However, there was an obvious lack for detail. There is no place in any of the 3 bedrooms to place your luggage which was awkward, the grill was missing the handle so we didn't use it, there was a towel rack in the main bathroom that was about to fall off the wall and the grass was a foot tall. There was 4 coffee pods with the coffee maker and the house was rented to 5 people for two nights. Overall this is a great house and I will definitely consider renting it again.
